Record That Note is a high quality voice recorder designed for notes recording but not limited to that.

(*) Supported formats depend on the device you are using. This app will detect your device capabilities and display only the formats that actually supported by your device. If you don't see all of these formats in the settings it means some of them are not supported.
Silence Level Recording (SLR):
SLR algorithm is working by having a start and stop signal levels that considered as meaningful to you.
The levels are measured in dBfs (Decibel relative to full scale). The full scale range is between 0 to -96.0 dBfs where 0 dBfs is the maximum possible digital level and -96.0 dBfs is the minimum.
In order to use SLR, users should check the Enable SLR option in the settings and configure the start/stop signal and a Stop Signal Duration.
Stop Signal Duration is a milliseconds value define how long the signal level should be below the stop signal in order to stop. That setting prevents the recording from stopping for every short drop in the signal.
(*) Users should test different settings with the help of the vu meters to get optimal results for their device and voice.

I'm told I talk in my sleep and sometimes even laugh to myself. I certainly have vivid dreams and hear the most amazing music from time to time. With this audio app next to my pillow I can record it all without any silences and also use it as a dream diary when I wake up. Absolutely brilliant and very simple to use.

I've been looking for a way to remember if I took my meds. This is great. Whenever I take my meds. I record time and then if in doubt I can go back and listen to my note! I have a chronic illness which requires taking different meds at different times of the day. Oftentimes I forget if I took my morning, eve, afternoon dose. This app works perfectly for that purpose. TY to the makers of this wonderful app!!

I'm really curious to find out what the pro version has to offer and I intend to buy it, because besides having the unique feature of recording only when there's something to record (which the user himself chooses the levels), it is just a great recording app with many other features missing from other recording apps, like mp3 format recording, choosing sample rate, etc..

I understand that it records. It works great doing that. But is it supposed to stop recording when I stop speaking, which then all moments of my silence will be gone on playback? And, is it supposed to record and stop recording based on a specific command I choose to tell it when I want it to start or stop recording? Thanks in advance.

Tried to delete one file. N accidentally deleted all my files that I recorded n I can't get them back. I can't find them :-(

Only problem on my Hannspree tablet is, I get an error message if I set the sample rate any lower than 32,000 hz. So... I leave it on 32,000. Works great on my other two tablets... my RCA and LePan. Even works good at 16,000 on those. App just needs a little tweaking. Love it.

This app is a work of genius. Rather than go into detail now, I want to use it for awhile so I can return and elucidate some of its finer points more clearly. Suffice it to say that it records any sounds it hears splendidly, while not recording silences or even semi-silences.

I am currently suffering from tendonitis, and this helps me take some rough audio notes akin to scribbles on paper while I'm thinking through a mathematical proof. The automatic pausing and resuming by audio level is extremely useful for this purpose, since it reduces pauses when thoughts are sparse. I just wish I could reduce the pausing time from 3 seconds of silence to a smaller value.
