Great start for this new cross platform security ecosystem. My data migrated perfectly from V4. I've installed on 4 Android and Windows 10 devices and data syncs effortlessly and securely via the cloud. The modern interface is a big improvement over V4. The new functionality is useful, e.g. fingerprint sign-in, launching apps and auto sign-in to websites. I've noticed a couple of minor bugs including broken tablet mode (that have been reported by others), and hopefully these will be squished soon.

by P####:

Version 5 is a huge disappointment. First of all, this app uses more battery than any other app I have, and I rarely even use it. The popup is annoying - I just want it to go away. Lastly, my screen often has a remnant blue circle with an X in it left on the screen from msecure. Doesn't go away unless I reboot.

by N####:

I thought this app was an improvement of the old one. Unfortunately, it's not. 1. We don't get to choose which field we want to show up in the main view anymore. There's only one in each "type" and we can't create a new one, nor can we copy the existing one. 2. Same things as above goes to the "App Name" field. We can't copy it's format, nor can we create a new one. 3. We can't choose from the icons available. It lets you choose the icon you want but it doesn't record the changes. All this could be done in the old app which I also bought by the way. I'll update my review of these are fixed. Weeks after release, getting a 2.3 review is not good guys. It's also impossible to upload our own icon.

N70%
by N####:

I don't know what everybody is complaining about. I think it's a pretty great app. I like how I now have the option to view my password as I'm entering it. I do wish it would open defaulted to all the categories collapsed. One other issue that has come up in the last couple weeks is that even when I close the app, I get a notification stating that the app is running, even when it isn't. The only way to make this go away is to reboot my phone. Annoying!

N70%
by N####:

I hope you guys learned something with this app. mSecure 4 was the best, we just asked for fingerprint support and you guys ignored us. With mSecure 5 you guys did the same, ignored the customer to do what you think was the best for us. Really?, we told you guys what we want, you don't tell the customer what they want or what they need...

N70%
by N####:

I have to agree with most long time users - this app is a huge disappointment compared to 4. Someone else said "Add fingerprint to 4, job done!" And that's right. With that out of the way, the app is good as a pwd vault, and I like the pwd generator tool, but usability is way down. There have been so many downgrades that I can't even think my way through them all - but my day to day nuisance is the inability to quickly jump around my (now 100 item) list as could be done previously with the alphabet hot-keys down the side. This business of having to two click to collapse all items is ridiculous. Someone else said it seemed like a high school kid wrote it. I concur.

N70%
by N####:

After a two months it's still pathetic at best. I'm not even going to waste my time going into detail like my first post. But I will say, compared to V4 this looks like high-school kids wrote this program. Everything right down to the icons are childish at best, with absolutely no customization what so ever and to be frank their isn't a phone on the market that actually has finger print scanner worth a dam. So I don't see the big deal about it other than adult children wanting something that is completely useless in the real world.

K70%
by K####:

Loved the last version, but now effectively broken with no Dropbox sync (which was the recommended method previously). Unless that comes back, stay away. Fix that, potentially great program.

N70%
by N####:

How long will it take you to realise that you are heading to a rating of 1 star unless you take note of the users? Give us Dropbox syncing; give us the ability to copy to the noticication bar and for goodness sake give us landscape profiles for tablets. All this is easy. Take mSecure 4 and add finger print access - job done. Then I will change my rating and you will be back to 4 stars in no time cos others will as well!

N70%
by N####:

V4 is world's better than this disappointment.... How does this app always lock up my Galaxy 8 whenever I try to open it. Also, fix the text entry field please... My unlock password includes an exclamation point, that always get put right before the last few characters I had already typed... Is it too late to soon for any improvement? I'd gladly send you my device logs if need be.

A70%
by A####:

Keeps crashing when I need to access info. Nothing else matters. Also alphabet tabs are badly needed. Reverting to v4.

T70%
by T####:

Can't even login in. On my Galaxy S7 Edge it works fine but on this Galaxy J5 it is a different looking app and won't let me sign in in the same way as the other one does!!

N70%
by N####:

Seriously 29.99 to sync across multiple devices. I already paid 10 to get sync on my pc. This app used to be good guess i need to find a new one

N70%
by N####:

Dislike the new interface and the tiny font. Too many steps to do simple tasks.

V70%
by V####:

What is going on? Glad I kept the older version, but can't believe I paid for this. Updated and now can't even access records. I use to rely on this app. Not anymore

N70%
by N####:

:-( ehh everybody does it. There is great app working well with great functionality but without fancy colours and gadgets so they wreck the whole thing to add gadgets :-( so disappointed and the fact you took payment ahead was just a nasty trick :-/

Unable to migrate, owned this app for years. Sad result of a once great app!

Following the latest update the improvements are night and day from what it was, it is now worthy of 5 stars.

Phone died, couldn't get the 4th version I paid for, and now I can't sync any of my passwords stored on my laptop!!!!

Not all of my data transferred from msecure 4...not sure how to get it there...or go back to 4...HELP

It does what I need it to do and does it reasonably well. Fingerprint reader integration is really helpful.

Really enjoying the cross platform support

T70%
by T####:

Nicer sync for cross-platform users. A bit of a struggle to install on my chromebook. I wish search suggestions would appear while typing on the chromebook/Android versions. I want the alphabet back on the right side. I wish that on the chromebook/Android version the password could automatically be put on the clipboard like on the Mac version. I wish I didn't have to click on the password field after clicking the eye on the chromebook/Android version. I wish there was an eye on the Mac version. And etc. I expect there will be interface refinements, but with the new cross-platform sync this is definitely a good value for me. Well worth the pre-purchase price.

by O####:

Doesn't remember my last view sort (prefer it by type). Have to change it every time I log in. Dropbox sync is gone. I know this has a cloud function, but let me have the option of choosing which cloud source to use. Can't figure out how to populate the more common icons, like Amazon. I thought it would be automatic; I don't want to go back and manually download icons for over 100 migrated passwords. The older version was easier to use and more intuitive. Based on how much I liked the old version, I paid to upgrade to this one. Shouldve kept my money or waited until all the bugs and issues are worked out.

N70%
by N####:

I upgraded with apprehension being sure not to do away with my version 4 setup across 3 devices. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I installed on my macbook pro first. The migration procedure went fine. I then created an mSecure server account for syncing. When done, I then installed on my Samsung Note 5, using the provided barcode for my mSecure account. Again, no problems. The only hitch is that the password for your mSecure will be the password for your Msecure server account. I quite like the interface. Its a definite facelift and it all seems like an upgraded experience.

Import was seamless. I'm very happy to see the addition of the fingerprint scanner. I never used the Dropbox feature so no love loss there. I don't know the prepay of 9.99 was worth it but I'll support the Dev as I've certainly got my use out of the app over the years for what version 4 cost (free app of the day on Amazon) I don't mind the lack of customization as long it continues to function as consistently as V4 No force closes on Moto G4+ Thanks

N70%
by N####:

I would not have prepaid for this version had I known that the Wi-Fi sync feature was deleted. I do not trust "the cloud" even if the data is encrypted. The app does not remember my filters between sessions, which is annoying. MSecure4 was a much better product. I will be looking for a new password manager, as mSecure5 no longer meets my needs.

A70%
by A####:

Long time user of this app. I have over 600 books listed in MSecure. Always used the alphabet listed on the side to easily get to the place I needed without scrolling through all of the pages. This feature does not exist any more. I also find the app to be vey plain looking. Not impressed with this update. Will keep using original MSecure for as long as possible.

U70%
by U####:

No sync to Dropbox anymore. Generally, a massive step backwards...and purchased in advance for USD 10. Wanted to support good development and trusted with money prior to seeing any mock-ups or wireframes. What a disappointment. Last time and never again. Such a disappointment and struggling to believe that a company with such a massive development delay and no communication at all is trustworthy enough to handle my most personal data. Won't continue using it until there is expert feedback on the safety of this app

H70%
by H####:

Upgraded from v4. New app crashes on one of my upgraded records. Also, your Windows so is more useless to me since you don't offer a download link on your website. (I'm not interested in any way in signing into Windows store from my computers). Pre-order is feeling expensive now I only can use it on my phone and it crashes on a record (can't even delete the problem one). On a more cosmetic note, new ago wastes a lot of space between records.

Y70%
by Y####:

Doesn't remember the rollup status of my groups, always expanding them. Lost dropbox sync. No guarantee with cloud sync that mSeven can't decrypt the file as they know my (website) login password and are the party holding the data. Arbitrarily changed the name of some of my custom types during import. Passwords displayed in the clear along with the website names in the security center. Ugly, ugly, ugly user interface. Back to V4 for me. Wish I hadn't paid for the pre-order.

N70%
by N####:

Totally ripped off. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! will not let me log in. Scans qr code and tells me it's invalid for my account. It's the one that they sent me! Will not import qr code image, says the qr code is not a valid qr code. I wish I tried this before buying premium. No support on the website, just a user forum.

Just got cheated? I don't pay for too many apps but when a good one comes up I do. I just got a new phone and can't continue to use this app. I can't restore my data and I can't scan a QR code on my phone using my phone ?? Really disappointed and out of principle will now look to use another product. Please change your policy and try to use your own app to see that the backup makes no sense. Thanks for destroying all your good work!

I don't know why others gave bad rating. It works perfect for me. The new UI is very beautiful. No problem with the performance. I can add custom fields directly without having to alter the Types definition. I can link the item with the app, all worked well for me. I'm using Nexus 6. Data migration is done in just a click. When i add Google account in the Android setting, mSecure pops up and offer to add the account to mSecure. The upgrade add many new features and improvements, and its really really worth the long wait. I will continue using mSecure for the rest of my life.

Y70%
by Y####:

With all the negative reviews, I was hesitant to upgrade. Honestly I don't get all the bad reviews. The new layout is an improvement as is the ease of use. I suggest you restore the change font size option as sight challenged people like myself have a hard time reading the current font. Just keep improving and Msecure 5 will be fine.

Have been using msecure for a while now... Loved it... Until 5 came along.... Lost Dropbox sync, not a fan of this.... I believe 30 bucks is a bit steep for full version also... I will continue to use 4 till i find another password app.

N70%
by N####:

Wish I could figure out how to get a refund! Update is awful. Previous version was better. I'm moving to another app... what a pain. I've been using msecure for years. Wish it would still sync with DropBox. New Version Changed the names on several of my Types--I would prefer to have made the decision/change myself--not have it made for me. The fonts are the same and little distinction from header (type) individual accounts.

M70%
by M####:

Not bad but still needs some improvements. The alphabet list should definitely be back since it is not convenient to collapse then expand the letters every time. Where are the promised high resolution icons that was supposed to be downloaded automatically from the web?? Currently, the icons are sometimes updated when you assign an app to the record. Why we must download the desktop app from the windows app store??

U70%
by U####:

Where is wifi sync ? Now I'm forced to upload my data to your cloud !this doesn't make me feel safe about my passwords at all. If you insist on that please refund me or give me a way to download your older version

N70%
by N####:

The desktop version seems unfinished. iOS version is ok. But Android versions doesn't work on Android 7.1. All plus the inability to use another cloud service makes me feel really angry for buying this app on the pre-order. SafeInCloud is still better.
