Glasgow Taxis

The app is much more improved from the previous version, but doesn't have the ability to pass on vital information to the driver in order that you can give more accurate pick-up/drop-off locations. The app could also benefit from an additional setting alerting the driver that the customer requires assistance, eg. a wheelchair user or elderly and requires assistance with bags, etc.

Terrible Jan 2017 update. 1. I don't want to be forced to rate my last driver before you'll let me book a cab. I'm not your personal review service for your staff. This has been made un-skipable, is intrusive and prevents me booking a cab which surely is the first thing you want me to do. Can't duplicate previous bookings anymore. So now when I make the same journeys 10 times a week you expect me to enter the details the slow way again? Why get rid of a time-saving feature? Do you not want to make it easier for me to use your cabs other than someone elses? I'm sure it's prettier than the previous version, I'm sure it's more stable - but when the main purpose is to help a customer book a cab and that feature has been shafted as badly as this who cares how pretty it is? I don't want beauty, I want a cab

Good update. Would've gave 5 stars but some old features missin n a don't like favourites. Other than that a really like it. PS guy commentin bout fare estimator. Press estimate button n add addresses n you get the price.

Will not let you get a fare estimate. Wont even work unless you have gps on .

Didn't have any real problems here, sometimes the search was a little clunky but it found venue names fine. You can specify things like "please assist wheelchair user" so they know in advance. Love that it tells you the reg no. Of the taxi. Rode a few times and after pressing "book", the taxi turned up maybe 1-2 minutes later! Very speedy.

The app does not work its a complete mess when you enter a street name it doesn't know it. The app needs a major upgrade so it knows what it is doing

Basic booking service is good, but although it offers the option to pay by card, it gives an error when you try to register a card.

I'm still amazed people use a black cab when you can get far cheaper with a private cab one time I was quoted nearly £80 for a fare declined and got a private hire for £45 long journeys save yer cash and book a hotel and train in the morning

very slow. Also, stupid design. Why can't we choose the destination address from our favourites since we can do it for the pick up address?? also impossible to register debit card!! Totally useless piece of crap app

Can't rate more than one star, due to it asking for all permissions possible. Why?! Location, fair enough, but that's it.

Can't verify card details. This is how I want to pay and this app won't allow cards to be inputted for some error reason. Will use competitor app

No status if taxi is even coming or eta. In both cases we ended up having to hail a cab after the booked one failed to show.

App is dreadful. Worked once and then never again. Server error message every time.

App crashes all the time, and I mean ALL the time. Bookings take much longer than when made over the phone. Maps are meaningless tthey seem to have their own system that nobody in this universe uses.

Won't let me enter a postcode. Typing a street name while it searches is painful. Doesn't recognise business names either. My local taxi firm has an excellent app so why should this big outfit be so poor?

It doesn't pickup the correct location, first time i used this app somebody called back to me and refined my location, then other few times taxies were directed to somewhere in 400-600m from my actual location and no any calls, taxi arrives waits and leaves with 'no pickup'. Tried to order a pick up from airport at '03:40 AM', and was surprised when arrived and found it scheduled for 15:40.

There is no need for this app to be accessing photos/files and/or camera. Amazingly slow, useless for finding street names half the time, and crashes constantly. Useless - old app that didn't want to "spy on me" worked fine. Uninstalled, I'll stick to calling thanks.

Taxi usually arrives within 10 minutes. The gps doesn't pick up all local locations. So its easier just to enter your address manually. All the better to set 'favourite pick up locations' then it takes 2 minutes to book

Couldn't get registered to use app. Quite ironic, considering I'm a Glasgow taxi driver...

Great app

Used it a couple of times but both times ended calling as well! It's easier to give them a call instead of waiting if the booking went through or not and it showed that it didn't pick up my gps location so I uninstalled it :-( In my experience Glasgow Cabs are a lot more reliable if you call them!

The only problem is if you use it during a busy period, no call out for possible long wait. Other than that it works perfectly.

The staff don't have an understanding of the app. The worst taxi service we have ever experienced.

First time I used this app I got a taxi without any problem, used twice since and both times useless! Both times after 20 min waits status changes to no pick up even though still waiting, that's despite several taxis driving by with lights on. Better just to phone than rely on this app.

Unable to register - get "invalid email/password". Useless

Fails the most basic of functions. Can't even register because of an error. User interface is badly designed also which makes functions unclear. A kid may as well have designed and made this app.

Worst service ever u book a taxi wait half an hour and still no taxi u call to find out why and all u get is rude bitchy staff Glasgow taxies should be closed down I'll stick with private hire from now on

Even at 3am in the city centre at the weekend the cab arrives in minutes, when you'd wait an hour in the rain at Gordon St. Would be good if it remembered ALL your login details and send a confirmation text rather than email! So a star off for that.

Had this on my iPod but useless while out and about. Good start but could do with favourite places option for the taxi destination, not just pick up.

Cannot log into this app. Internal error. Unusual error as very few apps do not work on my phone.
