My Personal Barber

MY PERSONAL Barber in San Diego, California. Leonard grew up in Stockton California. He attended church on Sundays and got his hair cut every Saturday. He enjoyed the barber shop until it was time for him to sit in the chair; then the crying began. His father opted to cut his hair to keep him calm.

As Leonard got a little older he decided to do his first cut in 1994 at the age of 11 years old. He came down stairs with a jagged hair line with no words to say. Needless to say his mother was upset because church was the next day. His grandma was proud and said let him practice. He practiced on himself and his grandma paid him five dollars a week to cut his younger cousin's hair. By 1997 he was cutting his classmates hair and anyone in the neighborhood that would let him. His home was always full of young men waiting in line for a haircut and listening to his beats from his key board. He got so good his mother encouraged him to attend barber college.

He attended and graduated from Moler's Barber College in Stockton California in 2003 where he grew up. He received his barbers license that year and got his first job at Freda's Beauty shop in Stockton where he did his first professional haircut. He worked at Big Herk Clippers in Stockton. He cut his client's hair for free at K&M Group Home for boys where he worked as his second job. Leonard opened up a barbershop called "Cutting Point Barbershop" in Fresno Ca. in 2012.

Leonard has been to hair battles and judged hair battles. He has cut hair for charity in every city he has lived in from Stockton to Santa Cruz to Fresno to San Diego where he now resides with his wife and family. Leonard is an excellent barber and an inspiration where ever he works.
