Lightning@SG is the app that provides you with the current lightning situation in Singapore. Developed by National Environment Agency (NEA), this app uses lightning information from the latest lightning detection and location system.
This app features
• Location of lightning strikes
• Thundery showers forecast
• Weather Radar Rain Area
• Push notification Alert for lightning and thundery showers
• Voice Alert (only when the app is on foreground)

I have downloaded the app and it would not load as push notifications could not be registered. If NEA is unable to use the data to make a functional app, please release the data so that it can be used by app developers to create apps that will benefit everyone. Please fire the person in charge of this project as I notice that complaints have remained unresolved for more than a year. What a waste of taxpayers money.

Very helpful. I use it to plan my outdoor activities, and having the cloud radar helps me to estimate visually when it will rain and for how long. Maybe adding a guide to reading weather radar and wind direction / speed indicators will make it even better.
