Shows Toronto always as nearest location for wine. Even with wines I've purchased that day in Ottawa. Sent an email. Was told to set my location on the Web site. Informed them still didn't work. No reply.

This is potentially one of the best wine apps for Android for Canadian users. It has everything one needs in selecting a decent wine: useful reviews, plenty of detail on the product, even a photo in most cases. Where it completely falls flat is when one gets to the part where you attempt to find out which store LOCATION the wine is available at. It gets utterly lost, offering store locations not even near where one happens to be. The other issue which has nothing to do with wines is the way the app refuses to exit fully when not needed. Instead it hangs around until one turns off the phone. The web based app works beautifully. But then that's not what mobility is all about.

App is a bit on the buggy side, this could be a great app.

Fantastic, and a big improvement over the previous version. It looks like a proper Android app now, and adds better navigation, a cleaner look, and a label scanner in addition to the bar code scanner. It's pretty slick. Great for keeping track of your cellar, your favourites, and your shopping list. If you tried it before and were disappointed, try it again; it appears to be a complete re-write.

M70%
by M####:

New version of the app is best yet. Scanner works great on labels and bar codes. My cellar option tracks purchases and consumption and is superior to Vivino.

I use this app almost every time I buy wine. The new features and layout are much better. Check out the "Advanced Search" options.

I installed this app on my Droid X2 mainly because of the barcode scan feature. However, this feature rarely works for me and all I usually get is a grayed-out oval on the scan screen (the border shows what the camera is actually "seeing"). I tried all the "helps" and even contacted Natalie's website with my question but I really didn't get an answer or a fix. My camera is auto focus and I have a shopping barcode scanner app installed that works flawlessly. I'm not the only one with this problem. UPDATE I just received an update (9/10/12) and it seems as though the barcode scan feature is finally fixed. I now believe this is certainly one of THE BEST all around wine apps given its features and utility for the wine lover. I gave the app 4 stars since some features are limited in the free version which isn't unusual, but the monthly subscription fee vs a one time "paid" version is a turn-off for me.

This app is a must when shopping at the LCBO. Just scan the barcode and you can read Natalie's review before you purchase. I find the reviews accurate and I'm seldom disappointed with my selection.

Y70%

Search function glitchy. Barcode scan found object first time and then nothing a second time, for the same barcode. Uninstalling this app as specific search is key.
