Belinda Peregrín Schüll (Madrid, España, 15 de agosto de 1989 ), conocida simplemente como Belinda, es una actriz y cantautora mexicana, nacida en España.

Comenzó a actuar desde niña, a través de papeles en programas de televisión. En 2002 firmó con BMG y dos años más tarde lanzó su álbum debut, Belinda. Durante su primera década en la industria Pop Mexicana, Belinda se convirtió en una figura prominente en la música pop latina y en la Cultura popular, con una vida personal muy publicitada, lo que la llevó a ser considerada «La Princesa del Pop Latino». Canciones como «Boba niña nice» y «Ángel» se tornaron en éxitos internacionales. En esta época colaboro con el grupo Moderatto para el tema Muriendo lento. En 2006, lanzó su segundo álbum, Utopía, del que se desprendió «Luz sin gravedad», y debutó en el cine con un papel protagónico en la película The Cheetah Girls 2 de Disney. En este álbum asume el control creativo y es la compositora de todas sus canciones, hasta la fecha es considerado su mejor álbum. Dos años después regresa a la televisión con la telenovela Camaleones y lanza el sencillo «Sal de mi piel» y para 2010 lanza oficialmente su tercer álbum Carpe Diem del cual solo se desprendieron dos sencillos «Egoísta» al lado del rapero Pitbull y «Dopamina» ambos se posicionaron en primer lugar de descargas en iTunes. En esta época Belinda sufrió una serie de problemas personales y legales que afectaron seriamente su carrera, por lo que tuvo que parar la promoción de Carpe Diem y no tuvo gira.

En 2012 colabora al lado del español Juan Magan para el tema «Te voy a esperar», el cual fue todo un éxito en España. Ese mismo año, mientras planeaba su cuarto álbum de estudio titulado Catarsis lanzó el sencillo «En el amor hay que perdonar», convirtiéndose en el más pedido en las radios. A finales de 2012 lanzó el segundo sencillo para el mismo álbum titulado «En la obscuridad».
