Create and share your very own text adventure. Interactive Story provides all the tools you need to create, test and publish your own interactive fiction. Share privately with your friends or publish to the world in the public library. Access to the library and the authoring tools is completely free.
Interactive Story also supports collaborative authoring. For fun or for education, the Interactive Story collaborative mode allows any number of individuals to add and modify their own actions, events and scenes to a story. The story development is automatically coordinated within the cloud. Each action and scene acknowledges the author and can be rated by the readership. Interactive Story offers a fresh approach to creative writing, making story telling a social engagement that is educational, challenging and fun.
The Interactive Story portal has four sections, the Editor, the Library, the Reader and the Collaboration.
The Editor:
- is designed to be used on any device regardless of screen size.
- uses a writers approach to Interactive Fiction. Think in terms of scenes with events with actions, where objects and items facilitate the the story progression.
- is tightly integrated with the full development life-cycle (write, test, review, publish and sell).
- is completely free form, there is no special syntax or style to learn.

- provides bookmarks that let you to test immediately from any scene.
- supports offline editing within your browser.
- allows export and import of story data as XML files.

The Library:

- lets you develop, collaborate and test your stories in your own private library.
- lets you publish and optionally sell in the public library.
- automatically organizes your collection into published, purchased and currently reading.
- automatically bookmarks your stories in the cloud - continue reading from one device to another.
- supports direct hyperlinks to any story, both public or private.
The Reader

Im struggling with trying to work out how to test an unfinshed story to see what your work looks like so far. Can anyone tell me how to do this? (Edit: Thanks for your reply. I can see how this works now.) So far this program seems simple enough to use but its taking a while to get used to going back and editing a scene.For example. I created an opening scene and a choice with an outcome. I didn't make that choice go to another scene. Now I want to edit that choice so it DOES go to a new scene but I can't figure out how to do that. If it wasn't for the confusing interface this would be a great program. In fact its the only interactive fiction writing system for android that I've come across that reliably works! I have dabbled with Twine on the PC before and would love to see something akin to twine's power and flexbility on an android device (I know you can just open up a browser and use the twine website but i'd like an OFFLINE version). Until someone creates something like that, Interactive Story is the only choice out there. Make the interface less confusing and I'll give it 4 stars.

I was very careful to save my entire night's worth if progress, and after rebooting my phone, i tried to continue writing. The title was there, but everything past that wad completely empty. You guys should REALLY fix that, as this is the ONLY app of this kind that I could find.

The concept is good, let me get that straight. I just couldn't figure out how it worked. The flow and organization of the paragraphs they try to get you to input are all messed up. I was completely confused.

The concept is great but I feel like if you made it into a simulation of some kind like being able to create the setting and story then see the whole thing happen in like movie or video rather then this retro text adventure then it would be much better. the concept is great theough.

Updating my review as the app is working marvelously now. I'm very impressed at how easy it is to make a simple work of interactive fiction with this program. The features it has seem to work pretty flawlessly. It has some small issue, for example it can run a little slow at times if the structure becomes complex and the "add image" feature doesn't seem to be implemented yet. But it's a solid little app. I really hope some more features will be added.

It is a good idea but it needs a lot of work. It is hard to create a story, it seems straight forward but it is hard to navigate through it. Often things are switched around, it's hard to make it go to all one singular scene and very confusing to make it to what you want. More effort than it is worth. Most stories are never discovered because if you are a common member your stories are not listed in the library.

Great app if you like text adventures or trying to make your own basic text adventure it's good ,obviously the less than 5 star ratings are people that don't understand what a text adventures are ,and to play and create a basic adventure all in one app is amazing

Make it work with quest and other interactive fiction software and I would like it better. It should be able to share to social media, import and export as well. Free members should be able to sell, just maybe with a little higher commission. Keep updating. :)

Be Patient with describing certain rooms, actions to get objects, and general layouts as Characters collect clues. Random Generator Engine makes it possible to create a scene that needs 'thought'...

Makes great stories easily! But I'd have to agree with others. It's difficult to navigate the menus. Maybe make a menu bar that allows you to access things like "Chapters" and "Actions". Otherwise, great!
