About Dock Show

Dock Show keeps the screen of your tablet or phone on while the device is connected to a power source.

When you connect a charger or USB cable Dock Show activates automatically and prevents your device from going into sleep mode. You can still turn the screen on or off as usual by pressing the power button. When the external power source is removed Dock Show then de-activates automatically

Dock Show was designed to improve the experience for the ReaderDock F-Station, a recharging dock with amplified speakers specifically designed for the Kindle Fire, but it will work for most Android devices and while connected to any power source.

The days of having to repeatedly turn on your screen while listening to music or audio books is over! We hope you enjoy Dock Show.

I needed a basic app that keeps the screen on while music is playing. Most video players (like Netflix) will do that by default but if you're playing music the screen will just go off. This thing fits the bill and doesn't have any bells and whistles, which I like. It does only one thing and it does it well: plug the charger in and the screen stays on. Unplug the charger and the screen goes back to its normal timeout. The developer says this was made for Kindle Fire but it works fine with my Galaxy Nexus. The only problem is that the font on the help page is pretty big for a phone screen, but otherwise everything seems to function well.

Plug in your mobile and a little icon appears in notification bar. Phone screen stays on. If you pull down notification bar there's an entry for Dock Show, which brings up a screen allowing you to disable Dock Show if you need. Unplug mobile and the icon disappears and screen goes back to normal time out
