nogago Maps for Hiking Biking

It saved me a couple of times when i was hiking out in the middle of nowhere..may i suggest one thing though.it would be great if the maps had hillshading.the contour lines are great but it would be greater with hillshading along with it.it helps with seeing how steep a mountain is especially if a persons eyesight isn't as good as it used to be..a compass would be great as well but all in all it's a great app..please add what i mentioned.thank you.

Nice, free offline map. App works fine. Search for location could be further improved. I usually use real address to pin point the location. The other search features not so easy to use, Singapore map.

the only complaints I have is it needs a compass which would help.the other is suddenly the contour lines disappeared off all the free maps i downloaded..just in case i decided to delete them and download them again and the same thing happened no contour lines..next complaint is the maps need to be a little more detailed in the free maps..fix these and I'll give 5 stars.

Many improvements needed but last update was Feb 2014. Seems like abandoned project.

Nogago have decided to branch the OSM database, which means the latest changes on OSM are not visible on Nogago. I think the Nogago viewer is better than the default Mapnik, but I am not going to update two databases with details of my local footpaths. Also, other similar products offer a choice of maps, including aerial views. By only allowing your own maps, you are reducing your appeal

Galaxy S5. I can't figure out how to navigate with this app. Slow. And it can't figure out if it's night or day. Pretty awful.

Amazing GPS App. You can download any map all over the World. There is not necesary data plan to Navigate. Just turn GPS ON and have Fun. Also you can download heights precision data to navigate.

Overall, this is one of my favorite apps. It has gotten us out of some tight spots in areas without cell service. As alluded to in the title the main problem I've had...across multiple android phones...is that the font size of labels on the map is so small as to be unreadable. I can't find an obvious way to adjust the font size, and have been hoping for a fix for a long time...please please make the font sizes adjustable in the next update. Thank you for the hard work and overall very good app!

I use this all the time for my long distance walks. It has been invaluable on several occasions when I was lost.

No facility to plan routes with way points. If way points were included I would give it 10 stars.

First used this system on Blackberry. Very pleased but screen too small. Used this Android version on an 8 mile cross country bike ride today with a pre planned route made on my PC. Could not zoom into route on phone. If you could (to say 25 metres per cm) this app would compete with a £400 dedicated cycle GPS system.

Stop downing when screen rotate and etc. Even restart down several times, it always stop around 15 minutes, never believe someone would provide this apps.

Easy to use, very accurate.

I camp, 4wd, hike, mountain bike, road cycle and kayak, this is the perfect app for the outdoors. Have tried many others but keep coming back to this, I loved it except I had an issue saving maps to my external sd card, anyhow an email to the developers has a solution, great service from these people who really care about the development of their product. I've even uninstalled a $10 paid app (overly complicated and cumbersome to use) in preference for this because of it's intuitive approach, I'll use it in the city next time I'm there too, any time I need a map.

Crashes on 4.3 on Nexus 4 while trying to view the map.

Will not download, NO box for email address, only passcode. App won't work without signup, which is bullshit!

so far I have tried many free GPS/map apps. This one stands tall. I would rate it 6 stars if I could. Its offline map works great. I use it to track my biking to work, it works perfect. I am going to test it again in the woods.

I've downloaded several GPS aps, this one works great, loads fast, doesn't kill my battery fast and I like that I can save maps for when I lose reception.
