About Jobulator Mobile

With the Jobulator mobile app, you can be notified of and accept substitute jobs that are available in Frontline Education's Absence Management system (formerly Aesop) right from your Android smartphone or tablet! Jobulator is the easy way for you to make sure you don’t miss a job opportunity, without being tied to your computer.

You must have an active Jobulator account to log into the Jobulator app.

What is Jobulator?

Jobulator is a subscription service that provides automatic, continuous checking and notification of your job offers in your Absence Management account, plus easy job acceptance.

With the Jobulator app, you can:

Jobulator is the official companion to your Absence Management account (formerly Aesop), created and supported by Frontline Education, the makers of the Absence Management solution. The mobile app is free with your Jobulator subscription.

Jobulator Mobile is not intended to be a competitive advantage in getting jobs, nor does it increase the number of available jobs for the user. It is intended to be a convenience tool that provides notification and easy acceptance of available jobs in your Absence Management account while you’re away from your computer.

When the app worked, it was the Bomb! I was able to pick & choose my sub jobs. In the last week, my Goofle pixel Android updated & the app has not worked since. Do I need to uninstall & install again. I do not want to pay for this app if it is not going to notify me of job openings. So I tried the uninstall & reinstall. No change. When I open the app all I get is a grey screen. Nothing but grey. This is not going to work for me. If there is no fix soon, I will be forced to cancel my account. please help!

It worked just fine until I updated my Android phone from Samsung galaxy note 4 to Galaxy 7. I keep getting a message that says "cannot connect to server". I've also changed carrier providers from AT&T to US Cellular. HELP! I NEED THIS APP TO WORK PROPERLY ASAP!

Of the 35 days I've worked this school year, only one or two of my jobs have been from this app. Such a waste of money. I don't understand what happened to it. It just never notifies me when jobs come up. I have it installed on an android phone, my windows laptop and my Kindle. It has just stopped working well on any of them.

Have had this app for over a year. On my iphone it worked great, on my android with the newest os I never get notified of any jobs. On my tablet that runs an older version, it gets notified. I don't carry it with me all day though. I have paid for a yearly subscription since The beginning, but this may be the last one.

This app used to be very helpful. Now, not so much. Just in the past couple weeks or so it will work to display jobs and then the next job that comes open, I'll get " Jobulator could not connect to the internet. Please confirm that your device is connected to the internet." It's my phone; it's definitely connected to the internet. I've read some of the other reviews and I'm not alone in this frustration. If I can't get it to reliably work on my phone, it's virtually useless to me.

This worked great for me for a few months. All of a sudden I no longer receive notifications. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, powering off/on my phone, checked all my settings, made sure my account is paid up to date, etc... Still doesn't work!

This app was great on my old lg android but works less than half the time on my new Samsung. I'll get notifications of jobs and open the app only to get the "jobulator could not connect to the internet" message. Every other app that requires an internet connection will be working but this one. It's not worth the money anymore.

The app on my phone does not work properly. I thought there were lack of jobs. When I installed the app on iPad and it dang immediately with a new job while my phone didn't, I realize the app doesn't work on my phone. I rely on my phone as it is always with me while iPad is used in the house and connected to Wi-Fi. It means that the app is almost useless for me as most of the jobs I have founded so far were by request.

This is the third subscription I started on this app. I kept hoping it would be improved, but sad to say it only seems to get worst. Five calls came in for sub opportunities and not one of them showed up on this app. I am using a Galaxy S7 Edge. I knew the jobs came in because they registered on SUBSTITUTE ALERT, a similar app. While the subscription was only $5.95, it is still a total waste. I am so glad I did not purchase an annual plan. The app does not work, therefore, they should either fix it or get rid of it.

I have a paid membership. And previously it had worked great. But for the past couple of weeks I've been missing jobs because it says it can't connect to the internet. But it have me an alert saying there was a job. So I close and restart the app. But where I am at, those seconds cost me jobs!! I even uninstalled and reinstalled it and still doesn't work. Why pay $50 a year for jobs that I am missing!! Months later and still the same problem!

This app worked nicely on my four year old Galaxy 4. I bought a new phone running the latest software (Android 8.0 - Oreo). Jobulator won't function at all on my new phone. I just get a blank screen. Jobulator needs to employ some software writers quick.

Worked great until recently when phone updated to android 7.0. Now I regularly get error messages saying no internet service. Before this happened it was well worth the monthly subscription. Now I'm never sure its working in the background and I'm possibly missing out on job notifications I am paying to rely on.

Works well as long as you don't have your power saver restricting background network usage on. Otherwise it crashes. It doesn't drain my battery too much, even when I have it checking for jobs every minute.

The app used to work and then stopped sending me notifications. I tried emailing jobulator support and they stopped responding after a couple emails. So I still have no way of getting notifications because customer service will not help.

Just got a brand new S6 and this app is reading time as 6 hours ahead of time, tried to uninstall and add it again. Still tells me the time according to the app is 6 hours ahead. Kind of hard to get jobs when the app can't even read time correctly.

Was working fine until a few days ago. My account was charged successfully for renewal on 12/14/17, but the app is giving me a message that my account is expired. I am stuck. There are no options on the website for me. I have paid for an app that I can't access.

I just recently started using the app and it was working okay, a few times it complained I wasn't connected to the internet when I was though. Unfortunately it has stopped working with the latest Android update, 8.0 (Oreo). I got this app for the sole purpose of easy access to subbing jobs from my phone and if it's still not working by the time my free trial is up, I will not be paying for a subscription. Hope the devs can fix this issues soon!

Ordered the app & couldn't login on my Android (Note 8). I immediately placed a support request & was promised a reply within 24 hours. FIVE days later a rep (Jennifer) finally got back to me. She stated that the issue was now fixed & I was still going to be charged as their website states the fee is non-refundable. In addition, she spelled my name wrong three times...yes, the name that is CLEARLY LISTED ON THE SUPPORT REQUEST. Don't waste your money, get Sub Alert instead.

I've used this app for years without incident, but lately it's been nothing but trouble, and I've missed counties job's, even jobs I've been requested for. I've reinstalled app numerous times, but every time a job comes in and i try to take it the app says I'm offline. I'm not. It's sickening to know I've been paying for a service that has literally kept me from working.

I pay for this app monthly. When the job icon pops up and I click on it the jobs are already gone in seconds. Then I am told that my password is invalid. I have lost numerous jobs at schools I want to work at in addition to losing income. What can be done to rectify this situation. I had very good service until this year.

Terrible app. Great concept though. It always said problems with internet connection, but I'm on Wi-Fi and all my other apps work fine. Never notified me of available jobs, good thing I was checking the aesop website.

This app worked great for me for several months last school year, but then I started getting error messages all the time. It tells me it quit working or it can't access the internet. It works fine on my laptop, but not on my phone. I do not sit at my laptop all day, but carry my phone everywhere. I am missing out on jobs. I am done with Jobulator.

Update: the app has been broken and useless on my phone for weeks now. Honestly, if your district uses Aesop, then you have to have jobulator or similar service in order to get any work. The fact that they make you pay a subscription fee essentially amounts to extortion. If the app provided greater control over what alerts you receive and those you don't, then I could view it as a service but until then... Its extortion. Also, while you likely need it on your phone, if you have a tablet, that version of the app is much better and more responsive.

This app used to be great, but this time around it is terrible. What happened?! How could such a previously great app go so wrong? Based on a whole slew of recent reviews, this problem seems to be very common when the app is installed on Android phones. I just had a trial subscription of Jobulator side-by-side with the app Substitute Alert, on my Samsung Galaxy 6 phone. Jobs have been reliably displayed in Substitute Alert, but not even one of them has been simultaneously pushed through in Jobulator. Hence, goodbye Jobulator! I just cancelled my subscription.

When I first downloaded it, it was great, now that the free trial is up and I'm paying it never let's me look at the jobs through the app and half the time by the time I get on the Aesop calendar, it's gone! Not cool!

This app COULD be so helpful. But alas, it seems to want access to more of our personal information than necessary. I am wondering why it needs access to our photos, camera, microphone, contact lists, ...????? In addition, it no longer has the school district on the front page. It takes longer to update. It crashes my phone. I cannot choose to have the jobs filtered by districts. ....This update is not helpful and it is intrusive. There are FREE apps that work better. As a sub, we need a better app.

This only displays a gray screen on my Google pixel XL (I have uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my phone and just about everything else to get it to work and it won't). I just started the free trial but if it doesn't work in a day or two I will cancel.

It worked great for a while. The first time there was a problem, the app said I needed to renew when my account was on automatic renewal. The second (third, fourth, fifth, etc) was when I stopped getting notifications. I was missing work because I trusted that there would be notifications. Every time I contacted their IT, they said it was fixed. It never was.

Even with setting on check every minute, and reading it st 4 oclock in tbe morning, the alert will sound and 99% of the time it will display "job no longer available", but then I will immediately check on Frontline and the job is still available.This is becoming a waste of $ very quickly.Customer support is practically nonexistent as you are referred to follow steps to a sales website. There has to be something better than this.

Recently down loaded the jobulator app. I heard lots of good things about this app. After I installed the app my screen went white. I called Verizon and they said there was a problem with the app itself. Can you please help me? Thank you.

App is 50.00 a year and for the past 4 years I have regularly had issues. Rings for jobs but click it and it will not open. I have the app on two phones and a tablet, same issues. Fix it, you are a multi-million dollar company and stop making us pay for an app that does not work.

Helpful in getting me positions as quickly as they are put up but the price point is exploitive at best for what it does. You cant view future scheduled dates you have already accepted, only see that you are scheduled on those days. For a job that pays pittance, having to pay $120 /year to get positions is absurd and robbery. Microsoft office doesnt even cost that much on its subscription and it is far more complex and useful. Unfortunately, it's my only option since I am often on the move and not at my computer.

This is a GREAT app. I work every day. This app is essential for me, because I work in 14 different districts, and multiple schools in each district. Jobulator not only makes that possible, it makes it easy :-))

I really love this app. I wish it either had a notification telling me my subscription ended, or just kept billing me each month until I canceled it. Frustrating to realize that I wasn't getting notifications because of that.

Lately, the cloud comes up saying it's dead and when a job pops up, I can't get to it except to log in through the Aesop website. I end up uninstalling and reinstalling to alleviate the problem.

Grrrr.... Worked great on my Apple, crashed on my pixel. Time IS money. If it crashes every time there is a software update...and I've got to spend time find a person with the company to solve issue, why bother?

Jobulator stopped working after my phone updated to android 8.0 Loads to a grey screen. This needs to be fixed immediately. I see other reviewers saying the same thing. Why are you folks not on this frontline? It's bad enough you double charge (once to the district and now also to us,) but to not have this app compatible with the android update for 8.0 is ridiculous. PLEASE FIX THIS!

The fix has stopped the program from crashing but, if the program is passive mode it dose not notify automatically. It only sounds when I actually open the app. It's time for me to cancel my contract and move to another app. You will cost me money if you don't work.
