It is showing my location in London and I am in Chicago. It won't allow me to change it either.

Great concept but the app needs improvement. There is no search function, so you have to scroll down dozens of items, and when I tried to post a wanted ad it didn't let me submit. So far, pretty useless.

Love the concept but the whole map location is not accurate. I thought of giving it a try and the nearest location within 2-5 miles was in a different country. Not sure if this app was designed to work in specific country. Thanks

Great concept so far. However there are no active users in my area yet, so I will have to check back in a couple months

Wanted to access all my files photos etc just so I can join. .. uninstalling. Enough things knowing my business.

I entered a 5km radius and it shows me 18-100+km. Not what i expected.Will delete and come back in 1 year from now to try again.

Great idea but nothing in my area, so no use for me. Sure if you lived in London or another bigger city it's worth it. Smaller locations the app is not known enough.

Olio is great : meeting the community / reducing food waste / cutting off on grocery shopping spending by collecting unsold items.. I love it. It's part of my life now.

The concept is great and although some areas have more things than others, I strongly believe it will pick up!

Came with spam notifications leading to dodgy websites!

The app won't work unless you give access to storage ie all files, photos and personal documents! I read a previous answer from OLIO about the issue stating that the app must have access to pictures of the food you want to share. Fair enough, then the app should only inquire storage access if I was going to upload anything and certainly not from the time I start the app. Even better, you could only ask for the camera permission when I'm about to upload a pic. Other similar apps even have a guest mode so you can check out the app easily. If your app is legit and you're not stealing our privacy then design it in a way that won't force the end user to give away information he doesn't want to. Looking forward to start using the app whenever this issue has been fixed.

Great idea and app seems easy to use ... I'll just need to wait for people near me to pick up on it! Only 3 entries within 10 miles (one of them mine!) such a shame but hope it picks up soon.

The staff are very supportive, and reasonably quick with replies considering the size of the staff they have. the olio volunteers page is very inspirational. Too many people complain about security yet are are quite happy to have their information on Facebook. Give these are guys a chance! the app is relatively new so I always expect teething problems. I

I am so pleased with Olio. It has helped me to de clutter. And I have met Great people. I have also picked up Tons of frozen chips,Blender and coffee machine from Dixie. As well as Yummy huge cakes from Anne-Charlotte.

It is so useful! People can share what they don't want or need - and can collect things they would like that other people don't want or need. I have used it for both - it works for me! It also feels good to know that using it is reducing food waste.

Really love this app :) It can be a tad annoying when users dont show up as arranged or olio pick ups dont work out smoothly, but there is a starring system now. :) Essentially the idea is great and it thus attracts lovely people. X

Love the idea. Shame the map disappears once you're in contact with the person, but still they haven't send you the address... Also loading first screen it's a tad slow.

I love OLIO! It helped me in a rough moment and now totally hooked to the no waste movement, so I keep collecting awesome food and sharing stuff I don't use. Also met many great conscious people and made new local likeminded friends! It's a life changing app ♡

I would not join anything that wants access to my personal files and photographs this is such a great idea but surely in this day and age you can't expect people to allow you into their private stuff so I can't join until this is sorted ty

Great idea and well thought out. Also great at responding to any questions. Just wish more people were using it so I could start swapping!

Brilliant concept. Instead of throwing out other people can get use.

Olio is great for sharing any foods, whether it's from private use or from supermarket/ deli/cafe donations. This is a great and worthwhile cause.

Fab app! Had some really nice things from people. My only problem is I wish more people knew about it!!!

Well I would like to be able to use the app properly. I set my home as Canterbury, UK, but for some reason the app has set my home to be in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean. Is there anyway I can change this?

Excellent app and fantastic idea to get people sharing. I have met soo many lovely people through Olio.
