About OnAir Player

Access your music from other devices, or remote control the music there from your phone!

On Air Player is a revolutionary Music Player that can be used in many cool ways:

- Remote control the music on your computer.
- Stream music from your computer to the phone, even on 3G / 4G.
- Stream music from your computer to the TV, control it via the phone.
- Connect your phone to the stereo and control it from your computer, a tablet or even the web.

OnAir Player is a music app that makes all your devices act like ONE. It connects all your devices across the internet and makes it very easy to stream music to other devices or access music stored elsewhere.

It's like your private music cloud that turns every device into a universal music control. Users simply select where the music should play, then select any song. It just works, no matter where the song is actually stored or how the target device is connected.

You can for example sit on the couch and control the music from your phone, have the music play on the TV while the files are actually stored on your PC or Mac. It even works across the internet, so you can access your home music on the go or from a browser if you left your computer on.

The best of all: It is super easy to set up and use:

Install OnAir Player on your PC or Mac and import your music. Then install it on the phone and log in with the same account. You will see all your PC / Mac music is already on your phone! (We are not actually syncing the music, but streaming it in between devices on demand - so it feels like synced).

Next, click on the "stream-to" button and simply select where the music should play. You will see your phone and your computer show up (must be turned on). It's that easy to use it as a remote control. You can install it on as many devices as you want and even play the music on multiple devices at the same time.

OnAir Player also automatically detects DLNA devices (like modern internet connected TVs) in the local network and adds them to the list of the stream-to devices. So you can listen to music on your TV that is stored on your computer and remote controlled from your phone!

OnAir Player also has a web application, so you can also listen to your music in the browser (for instance at work or when visiting friends).

I've sideloaded the app onto the Note 5, which Google Play shows this device not compatible, not sure why or what is the problem. However the app does cause the Note 5 running 6.0.1, to reboot after a nominal amount of time using the app. Since this is a popular device, I would think this would be addressed. The Note 5 has been out since last year, and I'm sure this is moving towards being a paid app.

I created a playlist, and despite clicking shuffle play from the playlist window, seeking tracks causes songs that aren't in the playlist to play next.

Great effort guys! But the song doesn't play on my Sony Xperia Z2, the seek bar moves though and the same song plays on my pc perfectly but my phone stays quiet. Could you please fix this as soon as possible?

I'm experimenting with this on a Droid Maxx, an LG Tablet, and an old Windows 7 laptop. Streaming FLAC files from the laptop to the phone and using the tablet as a remote. So far, it's all working just as advertised! I have been messing with a Squeebox Server for a few years and it never seems to be working right. This is working perfectly and I didn't have to do any set up at all. Just install the software. And, yes, it's working across the internet, not just over wifi. WOW All my FLAC files available, everywhere, anytime! That's impressive!

Great start. I've been looking for something simple like this for years. Would love to see a working shuffle and replay button for the playlist/queue.

What's wrong with supporting network drives?

Does not support builtin music equalizer, would much rather have audio stream than music stream.

Android player fails to play any track even on local device, says it's playing but no sound. Default music player works fine for same track. Tried to install PC software (Vista) but just hangs at start of installation with no messages, had to kill from Task Manager. Overall - no success at all here with this app.

This app is listed as incompatible with my Sony devices (Xperia Z & Xperia Tablet Z). I am not sure there should be any reason for that. Please fix it

Why?

It's still early days, but this does work to some extent and it is something I've looked for literally for at least ten years. The java version for running on NAS or Linux devices seems very temperamental right now so hopefully that gets improved. For now, 3 stars, but this is based on the overall stability across platforms. The android client seems pretty stable and I'd give it 4 stars alone.

I am very impressed with this software. A few clicks and bam I'm able to stream all my music to my nexus, galaxy s2 and my macbook. Far more user friendly and easier to setup than alternatives like subsonic, and does not require the lengthy process of uploading all my music like Google music. And on top of all that its free. Keep up the amazing work!

Elegant/appealing design. Will rate it higher if I get it to work on my Raspberry Pi (to stream my home library permanently without increasing the electricity bill).

A well-made, fully functional app that does what it's supposed to do: stream music with ease from your device to your (for example) OUYA.

Best of all the desktop clients are cross-platform for Windows, Mac and Linux! I have more than one computer, and a phone and a tablet - so I hook up bluetooth stereos and it's party mode throughout the house. A bit buggy and there's some lag when it buffers a track though.

While I have been waiting for am app like this for a long time, I simply can't get it to work. I have both my devices correctly synced but when I play something in my phone, it doesn't play on the PC version. When I play something on the PC version, it comes up on the mobile version but I don't get audio anywhere. Nothing plays. It only says it's playing. That and I can't edit the queue

I have a macbook pro and a galaxy s3, and different music on each. Ive been searching for a way to play music from one to the other without actually downloading it to the library (too much space). Finally found this, makes it compatible to play through and i love it! recommend it for anyone with a smartphone. It even works with game systems
