It works great but since the last update I see ads (yes I have purchased the unlocker) - I have to reactivate the unlocker and relaunch the player to see them gone. I wish I could get a refund, but I bought it like 2 years ago. Disappointing.

Years now I have been using this app with my USB headphones, one day it stopped. Now you have to pay for an unlock key, that's bunk. Used to be one of the best FREE apps on the store, today it's deleted, not worth my time.

The Onkyo Hf player does exactly what I want and looks good doing it. using it on my new LG V30 (which contains a hi-fi Sabre DAC), I can listen to my hi-res flac collection in full quality. one of the few players that can play 24-bit /192khz files

C70%
by C####:

The sound quality is very good. But it takes a while to work out the settings. Also I have bug's that turn the app off! It's a bit power hungry

DO NOT UPDATE.. Now with cheezy terrible ads. What happened. Horrendous interface. Luckily I had a back up

by G####:

Like this app is the original and still the best in my opinion buy what I'd like to see are the basic controls on the lock screen like most other players

C70%
by C####:

Compared to the old UI, the app looks splendid. However, navigation and file options are lacking; sound is still the best I've heard.

Great player with great Equalizer!! Now it's more ads, that's too much. Pls add option to see song info in song lists not just of playing song, but every song !! Also, could you give more colors for player like color themes (Red, Maroon, Dark Brown would be best) ??

C70%
by C####:

It's great, but I want to be able to sort albums by release date, date added, most played etc. Alphabetical isn't very useful

I'm so mad at Onkyo for ruining such a good app best version was from 2017 Jan. [Screaming]

Everything is excellent, but why blocked the Japan Music store? As long as you charge the customer with yen and the sales tax. If there were payment problems at credit card company, how about sell stored value coupons at Japan, then we can get it via mail-order.

C70%
by C####:

The best Equaliser on android. USB host works well. But wth with that UI. They're the ugliest UI I've ever seen. It's lags a lot when switching from folder to albums or songs.

C70%
by C####:

Easy to use, does what it says. The EQ actually works and I didn't have to fight with it to work,or reset it because it goes back to default. Just be careful with the updates. 'Nuff said.

by C####:

**Update** After using the updated new version for some time, it's only become that much more aggravating. I'll be searching for a new player. The ads are ridiculous, the interface is horrible and it's just not the perfect app it used to be. Used to be a really solid app, until the recent overhaul! New interface is terrible, ads everywhere are a joke!! Wouldn't pay a dime to "upgrade" since it never had these issues all along. The only reason to pay before was to "unlock" features that didn't apply anyway. The app does improve oem car stereo for sure, and that's a huge plus, but anything cramming ads down my throat get a 1 or 2 star automatically because it garbage to do so.

Love it but how do I change the background Image? A random image g from my photo's has somehow found its way into the app

A70%
by A####:

Best Ui out of all the audiophile music players. Anyone Getting lag should be upgrading their phone. This app is clean and music sounds vivid

C70%

The update is a small move forward in terms of music folder management, I'm liking it so far. The interface is refreshing and I'm enjoying it. But why the ads? I immediately started looking for a way to pay for ad removal in the settings, and I'm disappointed that you redesign the interface but make it ugly with ad intrusion. It's my one major complaint. But on the other hand, the reason why we use the Onkyo HF is for the audio, right? Everything else comes second. UPDATE: I didnt realize that the option to remove ads is located in the unlocked...which costs $8.99...but with that you unlock the full app. Unfortunately I don't have a need to pay for the goodies, let alone pay $8.99 just to get rid of ads.

Good in all aspects: EQ, sound monitor (showing in red colour on EQ if your file has loud sounds), crossfading (for me, an important feature). 5 stars, for sure!

C70%
by C####:

The new interface is less convenient and a step backward. It plays your music accurately, but making your selection is too much work. Ads too :( Stay put with the old if you can.

A70%
by A####:

Fantastic and neat interface, plays without lags, displays all the meta-info stored and sound reproduction is amazing. Makes a basic earphone or headphone also sound as a high end one. Would love to see an India store to buy music. Also more options of equaliser presets and artist presets.

Improvement over hiby makes it worth paying for full version. Better soundstage and warmer more natural sound. Jazz and classical instruments are still very detailed but mesh together holistically. Needs iso, ape and cue support if they want to corner the audiophile market.

G70%
by G####:

Widgets don't stretch to fill the screen, which is mildly irritating. I enjoy the fact that it shows the bitrate of songs and the file management system is simple if a bit more work. If you have lots of songs in different places you'll have shared time listening to all of them.

C70%
by C####:

Power amp is nothing infront of this high resolution music player keep up the good work guys make this player more enhance buy adding 3d surround sound i rate this app 5+ star

C70%
by C####:

I really like it, maybe add .cue file support (for grouped songs into one file from vinyls etc.) and please, it's really nice you support Philips headphones, but SHP9500(S) is very popular and very good sounding pair, it would be nice if you added them.

G70%
by G####:

This app not stable when using usb DAC. It will crash in 2-3 songs after you off screen.

A70%
by A####:

He he he I'm running an old @ss version. No add and sounds beautiful with 180$ German headphones.

C70%
by C####:

Interface needs work, dac connection is fine, does not crash. Sound quality is excellent. File support is excellent as well. You have to buy a full version, for it to function well.

C70%
by C####:

Little more easy page control buttons needs with no illusions... any way a nice musical experience With this onkyo app....thanks.

I will buy the unlocker if you fix the volume problem with the lg hifi module

This is the best music player. I really like it. I have been testing for more than 50 music apps including sennheiser, jbl, sony and many more, onkyo is the best. I think it is on the peak.
