Notifications often fail to show up or alert the user, even if set up to do so in the settings. In fact, most messages won't show until physically going to the app and refreshing it which at that point, renders the app useless. This was still a problem after I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Very frustrating because some messages go through (i.e. Private messages) but others do not.

A huge help when looking for address of person that has a medical emergency or fire. I love it!!

Too bad we are required to use it by our school.

It useable for school and and work I really recommend this app.

I was getting the text messages and I loved that. I have just set this app to remind me of my school's activities. I hope it works as well.

Served it's purpose with no problem.

We use Celly for 7 Day cycling event and it is great for keeping all the different pieces of our puzzle in communication. However, I can it is a drains battery very quickly even when not in use. I did not open the app and it was my number one power user at 16% yesterday. Uninstalled it until I need to use it for work again.

I cannot give this app more than 1 star until they fix their battery drain issues. It doesn't matter how functional the software is if it kills your battery so you can't use it.

A FULL YEAR later and the battery drain bug still hasn't been fixed. The developer acknowledged there was a problem but still hasn't done anything to fix it... It's just pure laziness at this point.

Works well, but it drains my battery more than my display. And when I'm not even using it, it uses up my battery almost as much as the display on my phone.

Does not close upon exiting. Must go to settings>battery>usage and find app and press "stop". Uses the most battery of anything while idle in the background without receiving a single message. Must fix.

I agree with the other posts. Since the last update my battery life is terrible. Please fix this issue. Great app for mass messaging. Would hate to have to uninstall.

This app over the past few weeks has drained so much of my battery. It takes up even more battery than my display. Celly needs to fix this. Edit: Over 1 month later, this issue has still not been fixed

I've been wondering why my tablet drops from 100% to 60% in a couple of days of NO use. In the battery settings it shows 36% of battery power used by celly but since I don't use that tablet so much the number is higher than it would normally be. However I checked my phone and it also said it celly was using like 15% of the power while the screen used was like 7%. Please fix as I need this for school but I'll switch to the text service if necessary. Also, please remove the fullscreen text box in landscape.

I'm removing this due to excessive battery drain. Over 30 hours it is 33%..

Over twice as much as my screen just by running in the background.

14% of my battery use, way more than anything else!

Changing my rating from 5 stars. App has stopped working and it is very hard to get any support. The only reply is that there is a known bug in the latest Android update.

We use it to communicate with coaches for sports and it's great so far

I use this app to communicate with my classes. I often play review games through text. I've interacted with the staff and they have been very helpful. Great for communicating with big groups.

UPDATE: Retracting my recent rant. I got a PM from one of the principals at Celly who was concerned about a frustrating experience I had with the app. They have already fixed a bug I was running into and are looking at some other issues I reported. This app has a lot of potential for all kinds of groups, from activists doing direct action, to local orgs that need to activate their volunteers, to enabling communities to share resources. Oh yes, and of course for schools and coaches to communicate with students and families :-) I look forward to the continuing development of Celly and encourage folks to try it and set up cells. (Please make them public if possible!)

Wont let me sign up. I click sign up with Google+ account then put in information and click finish. A window for a split second pops up saying creating customized profile then disappears and nothing happens.

Celly allows me to keep in touch with my friends, family, and coworkers.

This app is so easy to use and allows my group of brothers to communicate privately. We share jokes, plan outtings and special events, check to see how everyone is doing. It's been a fantastic way for everyone to come together :) (I wish there was a way to "return" to the next line so the sentences on different topics don't run together).

An app made for teachers to communicate with parents by any means.
