About Pain Toolkit

The PainSense Pain Toolkit App provides a set of practical, easy to use self-management tools for people with persistent pain. The Pain Toolkit App is based on proven methods developed with the help of people living with persistent pain.

There are a set of information resources that a user can browse.

Extended functionality in the App includes 12 self-help tools, a diary function, and a set of self-assessment tools that take users through key aspects of persistent pain, so they can learn more about how pain is affecting their life. These can be accessed either by a registration ‘token’ generated from a participating primary care area and providing a link to the clinical system, or via an in-App purchase for stand alone use with no link to a clinical system.

Teerible app. You need to create an account using your UK medical number & a reference number from your GP; too complex to start with & was deleted even before I made an account for it.

Advised to install. Initially used with great expectations. Completed the questions. Got repetitive stress trying to make the calendar go back to the 1950s! Tried to open it later and it won't open. Really can't face unistalling it and starting again. Rubbish

by C####:

Pain is tough and we all want it to go away. It's difficult to accept that this won't happen but this is a very useful tool for anyone on their journey with pain.

It's a good app. Don't like that you can't go back in to the days and add it delete information.

Asked to install it. I tried three times on two different devices and still could not open it. Now deleted.

I was advised to download this. found the tools videos to be patronising and made me feel like been in primary school when the teacher tells you to stop crying becouse you scraped your knee. One of the assessments wouldn't let me select the most inportant thing to me and on the next screen it asks me to select the most inportant of 5 options when all are inportant to me if your thinking of paying for this don't bother.

This app is genius. It allows me to let my clinician know how I'm coping with my pain. It's extremely easy to use and is actually surprisingly fun to use. Recommended with bells on!

Disappointed with this app. Told to register so I did and it told me my info was wrong. Then required a token? But didn't say where to get one from. When got through without registering there was nothing to do or interact with... rubbish

Tried this app from nhs website n couldn't register or do anything. Unintalled complete waste of time

App obliterates my battery and is not very user friendly

The app is asking for a code from my GP but they don't seem to know anything about it despite being the person who recommended the app!
