Okay idea my book is not available. I only have my phone and a desktop still it would be nice to read my statistics: informed decisions book while at work or on the bus. I don't understand how you can't make all text available. Text is: Statistics: informed decisions using data by Michael Sullivan 2nd edition. ISBN: 978-1-256-74221-0

Pearson is the absolute worst. I hated dealing with them through their web-based reading software to read a business book. It was extremely awful. This app was no upgrade. If you can, use a different book distributor other than this. Pearson is awful and I would not recommend anything from them to anyone. Save yourself from the headaches.

T70%
by T####:

The app does not work at all and customer support is only worse. The customer support rep was totally useless. He started out by saying that Pearson does not recommend use of their own app and then offered no help in fixing the situation. If it weren't for the fact that every one of my classes requires this online system, I would request my refund and never turn back. If you can, avoid the etext version at all costs. The website is a headache and every other version is broken and not recommended by their own creators.

Why don't the app link up with your database? If I have to log on, all my books should be available to me. My stats book isn't. I can't even get into the mastering lab app. Vitashelf has a much better format. This is a mess. It's statistics for Mat240. I can't even read my books from your site. Its telling me my android 4g isn't big enough or compatible. Next time I'm getting the actual books. Ugh

by F####:

I am trying to view GARP FRM 2 books on my Android device and it is not supported?? Are you kidding me? That's the only reason I bought the eBooks. Absolutely rubbish. Please fix ASAP!! How idiotic!! Robbers and cheaters!! The title is 2017 FRM 2 Market Risk Measurement and Management. The error is "The title is not yet available for mobile" edit 06/22/17: there are three books still unavailable: 2017 FRM 2 Credit Risk and Management, 2017 FRM 2 Operational and Integrated Risk Management, 2017 FRM 2 Risk Management and investment management. While you're at it can you please fix the support page as well? It just shows blank..

Wow, the new update is actually really nice. Updated UI and it just works now. Feels like the app it should have always been. Hopefully they keep improving it. I wish I could see the individual Chapter sections in the Contents to make navigation easier, so I don't have to navigate through the chapter to my desired section page-by-page. Hopefully that will be in the next release. Also, an option to pin selected textbooks to the top of the Bookshelf would help greatly.

T70%
by T####:

I don't know what was wrong with this originally, but it is awesome now. Don't be misled by the low score, it's nice to have.

Q70%
by Q####:

Borderline unusable. I have a 700+ page textbook and the contents tab only has a link to Chapter 1 (plus peripheral sections at the beginning and end of the book) so the only way to access any other chapter is to manually scroll through hundreds of pages in sequence - there isn't even a way to manually choose a page number to skip to! For some reason the only in-text hyperlinking seems to be from the index (not the contents page unfortunately), so this is the only way to actually skip to another page in the book. I can't believe so many basic features are absent, although a functional contents tab would be a start. If anyone from Pearson reads this, the book is Physiology of Behaviour 12th ed. by Neil Carlson, could you please add in all the chapters to the contents so that I can at least navigate the book to a minimal degree? Regarding the response from the developer: Thanks for getting back to me quickly, but the advice you have given doesn't solve my problem. I know how to get to access the contents as you've described, the problem is that only Chapter 1 is present in the contents and there is no other way to easily skip to a page so I can't get to any other chapter.

M70%

The app will not open a full table of contents. I am not able to select a specific page. The table of contents only contains chapter 1. This is not a good app.

T70%
by T####:

I have been able to access any Peason app yet. I have the Samsung S8 and either it doesn't let me log in or when into get logged in it says my subscription expired.

T70%
by T####:

App keeps telling me my subscription for my book has ended but I can access it through the desktop etext bookshelf just fine.

T70%
by T####:

I had the 14 day subscription but I upgraded my subscription and paid in full the my lab but now I'm trying to read the book and it's telling me that my subscription has expired

T70%
by T####:

Works good but needs word search feature and chapter navigation.

T70%
by T####:

Can't highlight the on this etext version.

F70%
by F####:

Useless. No function to jump to specific pages. Don't know if this is the same for others- but on mine I can navigate to chapter 1, but then have to scroll page by page to get to other chapters. Makes owning the ebook and not the physical text infuriating (cost accounting : a managerial emphasis, 15th edition, horngren, datar, rajan)

T70%
by T####:

It works.. but that's about it. No issues using the app or my textbooks. But search, highlighting, bookmarking, etc. are only available in select titles. Is this a joke? Completely useless with no features.

C70%
by C####:

No bookmarking feature, font very small and illegible when enlarged on Ereader. Textbook Ereader technology seems to be far behind what I can do on Kindle or Nook. Why can I enjoy a novel under $5.00 but have to struggle reading a very expensive textbook? The effort to read the book takes away from learning. Improve the ereader function or give me an option to get a book please.

T70%
by T####:

Perhaps the worst textbook reader I've ever used. You do not have the ability to adjust the font size, if you zoom in the text is blurry. This application is ridiculous.

T70%
by T####:

Just terrible. I can read my book but that's it. I can't resize text, highlighting and note taking are for selected texts only despite being advertised as a feature and navigation is quite clunky and my book has dozens of blank pages. Wish I was warned of this before I paid for etext only. Waste of money.

T70%
by T####:

I can finally just read my e textbook wherever I want!!! >:) No more library visits for me! As long as I can read the text, that's good enough for me

T70%
by T####:

Works really great on my tablet. Only issue ove had is not beong able to read low resolution figures, even when tapping on them.

C70%
by C####:

I don't want to put a one stat just because its not working, but I was wondering if someone could help me. My book says it expired, but I didn't get it again with a new code but it still stays my book is expired. Please help!!!!

T70%
by T####:

Everytime I open it it crashes right away. It never did that to me before and it has been doing that for the past month or so.

T70%
by T####:

This is the worst ebook reader I have ever used. Text is too small and gets fuzzy when you zoom in. Embedded videos and assessment don't work either.

T70%
by T####:

At least if there are issues with the book the app developers will fix the issue provided you list the book that you're having issues with.

T70%
by T####:

It works for me! I had a little trouble downloading the book, but I fixed it and now I am able to have it on my phone. Thank you so much.

T70%
by T####:

Works if you can figure out the correct username and password, but the interface is horrible. Needs work.

D70%
by D####:

Absolute rubbish. Why would you even release this app without features for Pdf? Majority of my textbooks are pdf. This is useless without pdf optimization. Please fix this soon. Hopefully before I graduate!!

H70%
by H####:

Can't read the Exploring Marriages and Families by Seccombe. Why advertise the app in the book you can read on the computer but not have it available to listen and read on the app.... :/ Edit: The book I mentioned is not available on mobile devices. That is the problem. Edit 2: now it is saying the access to my book is expired....after they made it available.

Technically functions, as in it displays the PDF, but totally useless. Horrid design, worse implementation.

My physics book early text is not here. Boooo pearson. Lousy app.

The app is not so bad for me, but I just hope it would show correct formulas when studying physics.

For "College Physics: A Strategic Approach" 3rd Edition it works better than e-text 2.0 online!

This app seemed like a dream come true - I could have access to my textbooks whenever I had a free moment without having to pay for and carry around a printed book. However there are several features that need to be improved upon or added: -The app does not keep the screen on, so if I do not constantly tap my screen while reading, it blacks out. Alternatively, I could change the setting on my phone, but I dont want the timeout to increase for all apps, and changing this setting each time I want to read is inconvenient. - When you log in, you have access to your bookshelf, and you can download your textbooks (IF they are even available). However, there is no easy way to access the books you have downloaded. You have to scroll through your entire bookshelf, including the books that are unavailable, in order to come across the books you've downloaded. A quick link to "my downloaded books" would alleviate this issue. - Unlike most reading apps, this one does not allow for a change in screen brightness or contrast. I have to change the brightness in my phone settings before reading and then once again when I am done reading. Even when the brightness is adjusted, the contrast and colors cannot be changed, so it doesn't make it much easier to read and is overall inconvenient. - Once again, unlike most reading apps, the text size cannot be changed. I have to zoom in on each page, every time I turn the page. And even then, I can't zoom in close enough for the text to be a reasonable size. I'm sure it would be better on a tablet, but I don't own one. The small text combined with brightness/contrast settings (as previously mentioned) gave me a headache after one chapter. This is the reason I am uninstalling the app. I think this has great potential, but without these few key features, it is completely unusable in my opinion. I would absolutely NOT recommend this app to anyone unless these changes were made. The fact that this app is completely unusable for me means that I have to pay $15 per book in order to get printed copies, or read all of my books on my desktop computer, which is more inconvenient than having to carry around textbooks. For a service that is marketed to be a convenient alternative, it is actually MORE inconvenient than the typical textbook experience, and therefore, I feel as though I was lied to and cheated out of my money. EDIT: I'm seeing that Pearson has replied to reviews, asking for the book title, author, etc.. but for this review, listing the unavailable books is moot, as the problem is that you have to look at and scroll past these unavailable books in order to even find the book that you were able to download.

Works perfectly for me, hate to give Pearson a good review on anything but this is extremely useful

Many others have complained of their books not showing up, but I've had absolutely no problem. The interface is simple, the layout of the book is intuitive, and reading my huge 1200 page textbook on the go is a lot easier when I can do it on my phone. Can't speak for the ones who've had problems but I'd definitely recommend this app
