How does the app track trips? Simply drive 25 straight line miles from your tax home and confirm the 'double air horn" trip notification. Per Diem Plus will automatically track each per diem day with IRS-required "time, date and location" data until you return home.
What about 34 hour restarts or other unforeseen delays? The app will post a notification when you do not travel 150 miles from your last stop location. Simply confirm the "Total Miles Traveled Exception" notification to claim per diem for that day.
The app uses 210 designated marketing areas in place of the 19,354 incorporated US towns to record IRS-required "place / location" to substantiate overnight travel for tax purposes. For example, a stop in Joliet, IL will be identified as Chicago, IL.

A must have for Professional Divers it does all the work for you. Must have internet connection to update information to online server. It tracks per diem automatically all you have to do is enter in expenses and take snap shot of it and choose category and save. Then when you need a report choose the dates you need and submit and it sends it to the addresses you put in and sorts and totals amounts for you. And keeps the record on a server for you so if you break your phone or tablet and need to start over

Image handling on expenses is basic. Image is save as a .png or .jpg instead of .pdf. there is no crop tool, and import image will only go to picture file folders, so scanning with another app won't help. Tiny scanner app gives a good cropped image, but can't select the file. The challenge for per diem works great. Reports are generated in excel spreadsheet format, but pics are not sent poss due to size of pics.

Not worth the effort to go back and add in everything from before I got the app. Mostly deleting because they can't be upfront with the cost. Had to comb through a bunch of negative reviews just to find out it's $10 a month. I can do what this app does on a calendar and a calculator for free. I probably wouldn't delete if they weren't so shady about the price.

I had the 30 day trail. In the morning it would tell me I did not travel 150 miles for that day, and asked if I was on a trip. It also asked even tho I did travel more than 150 miles. Now that my trial has ended it kee poo s popping up to subscribe. I close it and it pops up again and again and again.

Excellent customer support that answers my questions they are extremely helpful. I am subscribed. Using this app on my Nexus 6p, and its working perfect. The new 25 mile halo update is working great. I drive the "I-5 corridor" Seattle to San Diego.

This is what I've been looking for, for a while now! Need to place an edit or correction setting for days when you're traveling on a trip but the app hasn't picked up your on a trip and to add days leading up to the current days trip so you can get that Per diam! I need to add some days and add missed days the app wasn't working!?

Update: it does calculate the per diem like it says, but it still needs some work. Would love to see a way of entering in the days manually. Also would like to see the time that the automatic record be set to a later time

Like it so far. A few bugs but alright customer support. Dont let your battery run down if you have this app though. If the phone turns off because of the battery your trip that day is voided.

Question say your away from home but out of truck on personal time like visiting a relative how do you tell app to stop recording the day. There's no button for this and say your out and about going places with family. How do you stop recording.

I can track my miles, hours and so on, on a fancy thing called a log book. An excel spreadsheet works great for tracking expenses. I don't need to pay to do it. Don't waste your time and money. Garbage.

I was Disappointed with the application. We are team drivers and I thought this app would track for teams..but it would require both my wife and I to have separate profiles.. I can't justify $240 a year.. also we are sub contractors not owner operator not company drivers and there is no options for us.
