Petcube

We purchase this as a black Friday deal from Petco and could not be happier with the purchase. A little pricey but easy to set up and great way to interact with your pets when you are not at home. Cats have been having a blast! Looking forward to the release of the treatment device in 2017!

I love petcube! I get to play with my cat at all times no.matter where I am. Not only that, but if she gets tired, there is other petcubes I am able to connect to. Pete cube is not only for your pets, but your enjoyment!

I have an Android Moto X and my family have iPhones. When I try to share and connect simultaneously with them, it doesn't work for the Android app and shows a undefined call error.

One of the best purchases I have made. I wake up to 10-15 notification over night and laugh. When I see the picture's and notifications I laugh. Such a great idea.

My Petcube is configured, paired, and connected to my wifi and yet when launching the live video through my phone using the application the video feed is very poor. Always freezing or buffering then shortly after cutting out entirely. Why is this? I've tried everything from resetting the petcube to reconfiguring the device and yet the video feed is beyond acceptable. Really want this to work. I'll change my review as soon as this actually works like advertised.

Fantastic app. Works as advertised. Video stream isn't even that data intensive given that it is video. I highly recomend it. What follows is a complaint regarding an update that was pushed that annoyed me. The app is great, works fantastically. Given the developer follow up my negative review has been changed. I don't hate this app but: Save login credentials during update. Now I get to figure out what my login info was. I see that the "more settings for laser autoplay coming soon" actually meant just remove the coming soon, and move the setting to a new category. I see nothing but cosmetic changes. Which frankly makes the afore mentioned faliure to save login credentials even more ridiculous.

Lost notifications with this updated app. Not happy, purposely bought this for the notifications

Wow!

Once I got all the settings setup the new app runs faster and I like that. Can go between my camera's that are shared easily and my sound isn't distorted anymore. However, the sound is hard to hear on the play cube so I don't know if my cats can hear me. I have both my camera's set with sound all the way up!

Any plans on allowing multiple cams per account? Also, sharing with family doesn't work if the person has a camera. Have to share as friends, not intuitive at all.

I've read a lot of reviews from people who talk about it not working and the laser being inaccurate.The app is designed to be intuitively setup, and you are REQUIRED to use upload bandwidth to stream on your wifi. It means you need a good router and good Internet. As well, there's a laser calibration setting. Running it a couple times fixes your problem. If you guys run through the settings, you'll see PetCube covers their bases. Awesome cam! Relieves my ever-anxious wife. Thank you PetCube!

This app is a complete joke. It DOES NOT WORK. My home internet connection exceeds the minimum requirements, but all this app does is show 10 seconds of video then it freezes! The voice feature also causes the camera feed to freeze. Setup was originally a nightmare. I'm very good with technology, but I could not get the Petcube Play to connect via wifi for an HOUR. I eventually had to "delete" the camera and start over. This is just a Chinese made hunk of crap with poorly written Chinese software. I will be returning this waste of $200 as soon as I return to the United States.

Petcube is awesome. Our dog loves playing with the red dot and she has a lot of followers! It's so fun to peek in in other fur babies and play with them. We had a small problem with a firmware update and customer service was terrific and got us up and running in no time. Great product and app!

Petcube: there's no place to leave feedback in app, so here's my laundry list of missing pertanant features: 1. A place for customers to leave feedback. Considering this is a product for the customers, allow us to have a voice! We feel good when we rant and give you ideas. And it helps you prioritize the features, so you're building what the customers want. 2. A way to invite friends to join the app, this way I can send my friends a link to this page or an app store page to download your app. You should be all for it! Make it EASY for the customer to get you more customers!! 3. The app should run in the background, so when I leave for two seconds, I don't have to wait on that loading screen FOREVER and a half to watch it reload. 4. Speaking of the app latency, what the heck? 5. Allow us to tag our profiles and create a search so if I want to filter by cats or dogs, or see some Bengal cats in action, then I can filter down the results to the Petcube accounts that matter to me. There's a start, in no particular order. This app feels very "MVP" to me. However, 3 stars because I know features come out as they come out, I hope future updates make the app better. I do love watching my new kitten when I'm at work. Too bad she hides away most the day, I hope that changes with age. :)

Petcube play has been down due to "engineers working on a firmware update". The best they could tell me was wait a week and call back.

Biggest piece of crap worked one time then never worked again downloaded the updates and still didn't work I am sending the petcube back because it is not worth the money that you pay for the petcube

Best App EVER for pet lovers!! Love to check in on my babies when I am away and love that others can play with them when I am unable to! Win-win!

The Android app won't record video in the care program. The IOS app does record the video. Running side by side I will have video on my Iphine that doesn't show up on my android. Wished it worked better on Android.

I had trouble setting the cam up on my Note 5. Got it going using an old Galaxy S3. Loses a star for setup issues. Once running, has been awesome. Only knock is the laser could be more responsive. Everything else is great.

The setup did not follow the instructions that came with the product and I had to spend just over 10 mins on the phone with customer service to make it work. That's not too bad and the service was good, but the laser pointer is not accurate and is extremely difficult to control. It does not hit the area on the screen where you're directing it and it moves in glitchy jerky movements. It was frustrating for both me and my cat and we never really got to play. Relevant: I have fibre optic Internet so...

I had to call customer service who called back quickly but was giving me incorrect info. I tried it myself again and got it. Love it now. Set up could be simpler. It just dropped by $50, would be nice to get that refunded since I just bought mine..

First make when opening the app take you to a login screen. Otherwise you can not tell if the app has had an error causing you to look at the screen of a girl holding a dog for ever. Second make the Lazer more responsive. Third make the sound from the cube less fuzzy. Currently sounds like I'm trying to tune a radio.

This has been a nightmare from the start. Hookup was horrendous and took hours with multiple attempts and resets, and thereafter the chance that it will get online or stay online is far less than 50%. The brief minutes in which it functions properly are wonderful, but those are all too rare. Customer service is overwhelmed and not responsive. Save some drastic improvement, it's going back.

Basically the setup doesn't say "you need to connect to the petcube AS A WIFI NETWORK" it just tells you vaguely worded.... also the app no longer can log in when u open it thanks to your update, so nice job guys. $100 paper weight on my mantle now.

Doesn't work Since couple weeks ago. I restarted to the connect to the all systems even they can't find out my connect to the petcube also I pressed the small hole buttom but did not work at all.

but itd be gr8 if we could just post videos of the pets without it being a live feed or somethin idk thatd be nice. also longer usernames please.

Santa brought this gift to our house for Christmas... My husband was skeptical about the quality of the video and audio. I was able to set the petcube up easily... We placed it in our basement and were able to talk and interact with our lab mutt while visiting with family and friends! Moose, the dog, was a little freaked out that he could hear us, and not see us. But he was barking and wagging his tail during the time we used our petcube!

Tried connecting many times. Followed the directions and keep getting an error message saying"bummer try again"

Every connect attempt is a 50/50 proposition. Drops connection frequently. Calibration of the laser doesn't really help. Laser is inconsistent.

Love it

This is probably the coolest thing I've bought. I love being able to keep an eye on my bird and catch him doing funny things. The built in laser pointer isn't extremely accurate but it still works and get the attention of the animals you're playing with. The app has great options to customize how people see and interact with your pet if you decide to share with the public. The app itself also has a way for you to share all the amazing pictures you take of your pets and I love it.

I absolutely love Petcube, and so does my cat, Abby! The laser is by far the best feature and my cat is absolutely obsessed. We're only on day 1 and my cat is bringing toys to the Petcube. The two way audio works well and my family enjoys the Petcube too. Relatives living far away love being able to tune in and actually talk with me and play with my cat. My cat is a bit skittish and doesn't like socializing, but with Petcube, my friends and family are able to play with her and keep her company. Thank you!!
