About iPray BCP

The iPray app was developed by users of the traditional Book of Common Prayer who desired an easy-to-use application of prayer book worship. iPray simplifies negotiating Scripture readings and the appropriate daily prayers following the liturgical calendar of the church, including feasts and fasts, into one, easy-to-understand application. The app was designed with the user in mind, placing the day's lessons at the user's fingertips. Four daily prayer offices are brought to you based on the liturgical calendar and the time of day: Morning Prayer, Midday Prayers, Evening Prayer and Compline.

Morning and Evening Prayer are from the English 1662 Book of Common Prayer.
Midday Prayers and Compline are from the Canadian 1962 Book of Common Prayer.
Daily scripture readings are from the 1922 lectionary revision of the English Prayer Book, and are in the Authorized (King James) Version.
The Psalter is the beautiful and memorable Coverdale translation.

For those who are unaccustomed to this kind of spiritual discipline, the iPray app provides an easy introduction to structured daily prayer and Bible reading, based on the ancient practice of the Church as refined by the English Reformation. Download this app and enjoy the rich heritage of daily devotion from the Book of Common Prayer.

Our thanks to the Anglican Foundation of All Souls' Church of Oklahoma City and David Hill for their support in the development of this app.

I love this app! It has some issues the past 2 months (related to an Android update), but the developers contacted me a few days ago, to say it's fixed, and it is! Very happy with it. It still has the quirk in the last few sons of repeating the "Glory Be" after every verse, instead of only the end, but I can live with that, to have the app back.

A fantastic app: the whole Book of Common Prayer office together with readings for every day of the year, served up in a very usable form at your fingertips. Really helps me to pray. (And so pleased to see it's working again after a brief glitch earlier this year). Kudos to the developer for turning out something unique and immensely useful!

It's a very good application for traditional Anglicans/Episcopalians and/or whoever loves orthodox, evangelical and patristic liturgy. Anyway, I would suggest a few things to improve: -Add 1871 lectionary for daily office as an alternative to the 1922 revised lectionary Holy Communion text with Sunday and Holy Days readings Litany and other prayers from 1662 BCP

I tap on the app to open it and it immediately gives me a message saying it has stopped working.

Glad to find the 1662 bcp. This book of common prayer is the real deal, and more biblical then the 1928 and the 1979.

I really like this app. It does not require you to be on line which is great for prayer when I am travelling.

This would be a great app if we could choose a version other than KJV.

Sadly, the Psalms from the 28th to the end of each month have the Gloria repeated after each verse instead of at the end of each Psalm. But for that it would deserve a "5". I tried to contact the developers but the email address below was rejected and the website is gone. I hope they read this.

I was Confirmed today and learned about this app from one of the gentlemen after Mass. Very excited to have the Daily Offices accessible from my phone!

Excellent. Easy to use on the go. Similar to the Orthodox BCP by Andrewes Press for Morning and Evening Prayer. I would prefer more traditional daytime lesser hours.

Very intuitive app for and really helpful in keeping the daily offices. Wish there was an option for using the NRSV also. But I guess it would cost more since NRSV is copyrighted. Small issues when changing font size. Would suggest an audio option especially for the minister's reading.
