How to use:
-Select the various instruments by double-tapping their dials.
-Toggle VOR sectors visualization on/off.
-Auto tune OBS by pressing the OBS knob.
-Auto turn the aircraft towards the nav fix by tapping the aircraft symbol. Double tap will turn the aircraft toward NAV station #2
-Change aircraft headings by flicking your finger over the heading indicator.
-Tune the OBS by dragging your finger around the HSI/VOR displays or over the OBS knob.

However during ILS simulation mode, is it possible to actually 'land' on the runway? The aircraft just seems to endlessly fly into the terrain. Also, I'm real life, wouldn't the ILS guide the aircraft more towards the beginning of the runway, and not so far into it? Thanks.

This is a good port of Tim's Air Nav page. However, it lacks the ability to hide the aircraft and its tracks while flying. To test yourself on hold entries, this is essential. Also, a 'lost' button to randomly relocate the aircraft once hidden would be useful.

Bought this to do ADF and RMI training and there is none. Just VOR.

Everytime I press test on vor or ils trainer or settings/info, the app stops working.

Worked fine on my old Nexus 7. On the new N7, I only get a black screen. Edit: Now working well on 2013 N7. Thanks to the develop for the prompt update! This app has been very helpful for me.

The one issue I had (changing OBS accidently changes instrument) I emailed the developer about and he came up with a solution. Keep the awesome training apps coming! Helped calm my VOR insecurities before my successful IFR checkride. Thanks!

The controls are really annoying. Have given the developer some good tips on how to fix it, but seems there is no will to do this. I recommend you to find some other app that wont frustrate you so much... Still no pinch zoom, and still annoyingly changes instrument when singel tapping... aaarg... None of the new features are implemented, so you can disregard everything under the NEWS column

My biggest trouble in training for an instrument rating is when I come off a hold after a missed approach, and then have to figure out where I am in relation to a different airport - where I will attempt a different missed approach. I'm fine when I do my own navigation (pilot nav) to the new location, but my problem is when ATC is assigning vectors -- instead of letting me choose how I reach the new IAF. This app has helped me to sharpen my mental picture -- even when forced to go a different way.

Sent the dev a question about some unusual permissions. Received an immediate reply thanking me for pointing it out and promising a fix. Two and a half days later a new version was released with the permissions corrected. I'm very impressed with Amir's response and am excited to start perfecting my VOR skills without burning fuel!
