About Plane Finder - Flight Tracker

Plane Finder shows live moving planes on a worldwide map and has been beautifully re-engineered. The map view is front and center giving an uninterrupted view of air traffic and features are quick to access.

Plane Finder has been top rated and top ranking since 2009 and covers most of the world, tracking 12,000+ planes simultaneously.

Search by flight number, place name, airport, airline and aircraft or browse the map.

23 different plane markers are included and airline logos are displayed next to planes for easy identification.

Simply tap a plane to see detailed flight and aircraft information including photographs or tap an airport to see live arrivals and departures boards.

You can even use Augmented Reality (AR) view to identify planes overhead using your device camera.

Custom alerts are unlimited and unlocked via an In App Purchase, so you can take a break from watching the air traffic and let the app notify you when a plane is in the air or nearby.

Powerful and unlimited custom filters are also free to use. You can create, save and name as many filters as you need for quick access to the planes you are interested in.

Add and browse bookmarks to saved locations around the globe to quickly navigate to areas or airports of interest.

Plane Finder has been featured by Gizmodo, CNN, GMA, BBC, Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday, CNET, Wired, GQ Magazine and many more. We have millions of happy users and Plane Finder is regularly updated with innovative new features. Our support team always listen to and reply to feedback.

At a glance our worldwide coverage includes -

• Europe 95% - realtime
• North America – 100% via slightly US delayed data – Nationwide realtime ADS-B network in place and capturing 95% of ADS-B equipped aircraft
• Rest of World – Excellent coverage in Australia, New Zealand, Central America, Brazil, Japan, Taiwan, Dubai, India, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Maldives, Mauritius, Singapore, Hong Kong and many more countries

Important Note:
Plane Finder works by picking up real time ADS‐B signals used by aircraft to transmit positional data to land based receivers. This technology is faster than traditional radar and is used for air traffic control and navigation. ADS‐B is not used by all airlines or aircraft, however this is changing and the number of aircraft tracked by ADS‐B is increasing all of the time. Traditional radar type data in near real time is also included for North America; this is subject to a short time delay.

What are users saying about Plane Finder - Flight Tracker

K70%
by K####:

On a Pixel XL with Oreo 8.1 crashes all the time "Plane Finder has stopped"... annoying and not reliable as it used to be. As soon as Fixed and stars back to 5.

W70%
by W####:

Been using this app for years on iPhone moved to android and disappointed that it doesn't have the same functionality. For example it no longer shows flight history, time left in flight

O70%
by O####:

Great app, but as I moved from iOS to android recently I'm missing flight history. On my old iPhone there was important option to see all searched airplane past flights. Please ADD THIS TO YOU NEXT UPDATE!!!

K70%
by K####:

Love this app, shows exactly where the flight is at all times, easy to determine if flights been delayed or not .As far as the fun part , it feels amazing to see the planes move in real time sitting in my chair at home

K70%
by K####:

Cool to see the Loon balloons over Puerto Rico. It would be better if you could filter for them, but the filter doesn't seem to be able to select for any of the right properties, and some of the balloons altitudes are above 60000 ft, which is beyond the filter capability.

K70%
by K####:

Despite paying 2.99 for this app, it does not find my husband's flight to US, whereas free app FlightRadar brings it up straight away. Uninstalling and requesting refund now.

R70%
by R####:

You pay £2.99 for the app then have to pay for £1.99 for flight alerts and cant even search for the flight.. Ridiculous.

K70%
by K####:

When you look to the sky and see a plane streaking across the horizon, have you ever wondered where it was headed, what it was, it's altitude...? If so, this app is for you!

K70%
by K####:

It's rather good when you just want to see the traffic above us, but when a flight I was tracking with family on board suddenly vanished (& no matter what I did I couldn't get it back) I feared the worst (otherwise I would rate 100%). Quite odd.

K70%
by K####:

Accurate and fun to use. Love how much detail you can get on each plane. I only wish I had access to something like this year's ago.

T70%
by T####:

It's a really good app, however I've recently broken free from Apple's grip and come on board to Android! But this app is a lot better on Apple which is a bit disappointing as a lot of other apps I find better on Android!

K70%
by K####:

Installed this and paid the 2.99 for the app.. Went to set up an alert to find out when a friend's plan was going to take off and immediately asked for more money for this feature. There are better apps out there..

S70%
by S####:

Not sure about the live tracker claim, as I watched a plane overshoot an airport and then disappear off screen. After searching the internet for 5-6 minutes, found out that it had landed, so don't panic if it looks like your loved ones have crashed, check out other sources of information first.

Y70%
by Y####:

In Northwestern US and Canada too many small (local GA flights) are indicated as being major airlines when they are Beech 1900s, for example and not an Air China A350 or B767. Other than that, it is a phenominal app.

P70%
by P####:

It does not show REAL TIME there is about a 20 minute delay . I was trying to follow my husband , leaving Fairbanks Alaska to Orange County Calif . And it showed his plane leaving 30 minutes late , and on the other end of the flight showed it landed early.. This was not just once, but every time.

O70%
by O####:

Good App. Not perfect, but good fun and useful for tracking flights with friends or family on. Some flights aren't available, shame it doesn't include military but there's a reason for that!

K70%
by K####:

The app is great for tracking planes, however it crashes randomly on the Google Pixel 2. At least once per day it crashes, even though I've never even opened it that day. Why does this app even need to run in the background?

K70%
by K####:

Stopped getting alerts from got new phone a while ago and stopped receiving notifications. Had update the other day for a supposed icon change and since then it all works again. ???? ????

P70%
by P####:

It's basically a nice app. Unfortunately, I I often find that flights I want to track somehow show in, well, most other apps. Just not this one. That's quite annoying.

D70%
by D####:

Brilliant app! Learnt so much about something I thought would be a bit nerdy and boring... But it's great and the squawk alerts is a bonus.

K70%
by K####:

Good app in general, good UI and information. The filters however are unusable because the app randomly applies and unapplies various filters as soon as you try to apply one

Z70%
by Z####:

Works perfectly. Can't understand any negative reviews. You can count down from 10 and the plane will appear from over your shoulder.

K70%
by K####:

Fun app we tracked my wife's flight from Alanta to Seattle as we were tracking her flight we noticed that it looked like it she was gonna fly right over us in Walla Walla Washington so we went outside watched her plane fly over at 36,000 ft. That right there was worth the app.

K70%
by K####:

"who is that flying over me?" this app answers it among other things. it's not always accurate, but darn good. it would be very cool if weather was a map overlay option.

K70%
by K####:

Superb app will turn you into a geek! It just keeps getting better and it's my favourite app!

X70%
by X####:

Decided to buy this after finding the free one frustrating. My Dad likes finding out about the high altitude flights. The odd bug. There is an unnamed plane sitting on the ground in a lane near Houghton le Spring!

K70%
by K####:

I bought this app some time ago and it was working well. I had set up a number of alerts and these too worked well. I have just tried to set up a new alert and found that I now have to pay again. This is extortion!

G70%
by G####:

I love it. I have used to track if flights on time or delayed when picking up people from the airport. I wish android had the image function where you point your device and you see live view on screen. Cant have everything

D70%
by D####:

Not at all a good app. These guys are charging a good amount. But not giving proper service. The flight which you will search will surely disappeare. You will be able to see other flights. But not the one you are searching. You again have to know the status from google. So what is the use of this app if we cannot use it when required.

K70%
by K####:

again can't understand negative reviews on this. I'm 30 minutes away from airport and know exactly when to leave my area to pick up customers and also means as a taxi driver I can make more money knowing exactly where the flight is instead of guessing

C70%
by C####:

wow. such great potential. but a total flop. paid extra for the no adds version. crashes every time i try to use it. keeps telling me its stopped working. ive got a new pixal 2 XL. latest android phone. oreo 8.1. if you have a new phone, call the airport, because this app, is not going to help you. very frustrating. shows all the planes in the air, but you can't find the one you want. do yourself a favor, save your money, grab a beer, and ditch this app !

K70%
by K####:

This app is rubbish tried looking for a flight and it's got all the wrong details. Wrong flight number and saying it's going to the wrong destination.

A70%
by A####:

I thought this would help find my flights and it doesn't. I really don't know what it does.

K70%
by K####:

I had this on iphone and the augmented reality view was far more reliable. It won't allow me to tap on the box and see more information. Also, the view doesn't turn the same amount as the phone as i turn it.

K70%
by K####:

It tells me what is flying over my head and where it is bound.

K70%
by K####:

IMPROVE CUSTOM ALERTS! I paid $3 for these..It takes at least 30 seconds for the aircraft to alert you, and by then it is already gone. Everything else is exellent.

K70%
by K####:

Excellent. Worth the money. I use it purely for entertainment and curiosity and it serves that purpose well. Contrary to other reviews, I have found the map functions very much in real time as I have watched planes overhead which are exactly where they are on the map.

K70%
by K####:

A friend told me about this app and it's really good for what I want to use it for and know what's in the area and the type and height and I hope in the future they will add military traffic as I am a keen photographer and plane spotter

K70%
by K####:

It was ok until they stopped showing the ICAO airport designators despite it seemingly available as an option in 'Units'. I don't like IATA designators.

D70%
by D####:

my friend told me his flight number. i followed him from takeoff to landing. it was right on. fun to use!
