The developers have done a great job fixing all the issues. The app is fantastic now. Feature request. In addition to the community ranking by activity, it would be great to get a ranking by average PIQ score. The leader board email is great but it's only for that session
Love the data! A bit fickle sometimes to connect, the nav is a bit off, but high hopes for bug fixes and not usage blockers. Awesome!
Great and useful data to analize and improve your tennis! I would like to see the piqscore graph for each session. Also, have the whatsapp choice for sharing. It would be useful to have a piqscore graph to see the evolution in time, including all sessions. If this info could be filtered by type of session (match, training and open session) it would be awsome. Also if the filter could be applied to singles and doubles matches. I hope these ideas could be Implemented! Thanks!
Doesn't seem to have the correct date ca n t tell if in sync are not the #s on the back of n y de v I c e don't match what shows in devices to select on screen
Apart from issues trying to pair up my POP (it just didn't sense it at all, had to press it against my phone before it registered!), It's been great so far.
You guys should fix the ball rotation tracker because it always says I play flat when I don't. I don't know if it is telling he truth because I was rallying against a wall in my garage. But still, I brush enough to generate solid spin but It said I hit 0 topspin forehands. Is it comparing the ball rotation to Nadal? They think the exagerrated forehand brush is top spin
Since last update i am not able to access unqualified activities. App crashes when loading it
Great app to track down your tennis sessions. I ve noticed that in a match you have less than 10 voleys or so it can't be selected in the shots breakdown.
Such great potential, but so woefully implemented.
Addicting training tool. Gives good feedback on a number of shots.
Wearing it on wrist instead of attaching in string is a good idea.
Very good to check you shot development.
Perfect for tennis stats
The Bad - If you don't allow the myriad of pointless permissions (microphone, contacts, sms), the POP doesn''t show up in the device list to make the initial connection. Once I turned the permissions on, the POP immediately showed up. I have no clue what SMS, microphone, and contacts has to do with pairing a Bluetooth device... The Good - Very pretty display of my tennis data. Sync's quickly and reliably. Intuitive navigation around all my sessions & matches. Wants - I would like to see my return of serves as a different stroke than "Forehand | Backhand", especially for match play.
Love this little gadget. I thought my shots were most top spin. It turns out that more than 65% are flat! , Not sure how accurate the data are...
Love using it to track my game but I wish you could view the piq score breakdown for each individual session so you can compare your overall power, spin, and style. I think that would help a lot. Also I would really like to see google fit integration.
As a doubles player, the linked Piq device is very poor at recognising volleys and smashes.
Won't let me sign back in with my old account when I reset my phone. Please fix
Love the feedback on evolution of stroke types
It's very useful Maybe improve the feedback
Interesting for keeping reults and shot totals. Skill meter is ???
Pretty user friendly imo. I like it.
I love my Babolat POP.
App is stealing Audio Focus when opening. When listening to a Radio Station and then open the PIQ App the Station pauses playing. Could you please check. It has definitivly something to do with "Audio Focus".
Does the job as a counter. Not very accurate. Data collected is useful though.
I couldnt get mobile validation code. I hv tried many times but still cant get the code via sms.
Want to add that support services are great. They respond quickly to issues and are very helpful. Regular software updates and enhancements too.
Just updated to the version of 15th december, I don't see new or changed features!!
Love the app, pushes me to improve my game with interesting stats. Good job babolat and piq
I like having some numbers on my play. I can improve my game.
So in love with it. It helps and motivate us in the training days, especially in serve but I think Babolat pop work better and more stable on ios. With Android, it's not accurate and I must unpair or reset it sometime, for ex: we hit forehand but it showed us that is serve. With iPhone, I never had that problem. I Hope you guys will have a better update for Android.
The new update has fixed a lot of problems. My sessions are now being registered properly, and I'm not losing data. That said, the system continues to miss read swings, and struggles to tell the difference between flat swings and topspin swings. I really like the concept here, and I'm hopeful the remaining bugs can be worked out.
The app overall is ok to start with but in my view have few major pitfalls: 1. The main problem is Spins recognizing both forehand and backhand. Records 99% of shots as flat while at least 25-30% of them are top spin 2. On every session it records slice forehands I NEVER play, its marginal, but constantly there 3. Slices on backhand mostly recorded as flats, even when I practice them specifically, 15-20 in the row 4. On dashboard , bar chart shows 2 months of Sep though bought PIQ in mid-October So my October data is spread between 2nd Sep month and Oct Latest update didn’t fix it 5. Sometimes completely missing volleys 6. Not possible to use the app offline. Location, internet connection, paring with device and Bluetooth shouldn’t be mandatory to browse recorded sessions/data 7. Overall app permission management is against personal privacy : - access to phone contact , call and personal data shouln’t be mandatory but optional
PIQ Robot is a very useful feature. Please provide a time line view showing what shots were hit at what time during the session. Thanks again for the app
This is a great app, and the sensor is fantastic, but the latest update got somethings wrong (and others right). The session PIQ score is definitely a lot more correct that it was in terms of spin. The individual breakdown of forehands and backhands don't match the PIQ score in terms of spin and speed. The overall PIQ score speed factor is very far off. The average speed score is correct, but the speed (mph) is extremely far off. eg 2104 speed should not be 39mph, when 2055 is 45mph. Things to fix: a. Individual Forehand and backhands from a session should be corrected. b. Overall PIQ score speeds should be corrected.
