از اميرالمومنين علي (ع) روايت شده است که دعاي يستشير را پيامبر (ص) به من آموخت و امر کرد که آن را در همه حال در سختي و راحتي حفظ کنم و به خلفاء بعد از خودم تعليم نمايم .

و هم چنین : 

کسي که اين دعا را بخواند خير و برکت از فرق سرش تا زمين از آسمان بر او مي بارد و او را انوار آرامش و رحمت مي پوشاند و براي اين دعا انتهايي جز عرش خدا نيست.

ما را نیز از دعای خیرتان بی نصیب نگذارید
