Peregrinator

Peregrinator ist eine Offline-Pilgerapp für Rom. Sie ist im Rahmen eines Schulprojektes des P-Seminars Religion am Gymnasium Schrobenhausen entstanden. Der Name Peregrinator leitet sich aus dem Lateinischen ab
und heißt soviel wie Pilger. Die App bietet viele Informationen zur Ewigen Stadt selbst, aber auch wertvolle Tipps rund um die Reise.
Kernstück sind vier Routen durch die Stadt, auf denen jeweils antike Sehenswürdigkeiten und wichtige Kirchen besucht werden. Auf einer Karte wird der Weg angezeigt - und wem das noch nicht genügt, der findet eine
detaillierte Wegbeschreibung jeder Tour. Zu den einzelnen Sehenswürdigkeiten gibt es dann kurze Infotexte und Fotos. Auch zu Sehenswürdigkeiten über die vier Routen hinaus gibt es Informationen.
Zudem bietet die App Wissenswertes zum Beispiel zur Kleiderordnung in den Kirchen, dem öffentlichen Nahverkehr in Rom, oder eine Liste mit deutschsprachigen Ärzten sowie wichtige Kontaktdaten für den Notfall.
Außerdem gibt es einen kleinen Sprachführer und ein Quiz rund um Rom.
Weil Internetnutzung im Ausland noch teuer ist, ist Peregrinator als reine Offline-App konzipiert. Sie wird zuhause auf das Smartphone geladen und kann in Rom genutzt werden. Eine Internetverbindung ist
dafür nicht mehr nötig.
Für Anregungen und Kritik sind die Macher sehr dankbar: Schließlich soll die App weiterentwickelt werden. Peregrinator is an offline Pilgerapp for Rome. It was created as part of a school project of the P-seminar religion at school Schrobenhausen. The name derives from the Latin peregrinator from
and means something like pilgrims. The app provides many information about the Eternal City itself, but also provides valuable tips about the trip.

Because Internet usage abroad is still expensive, peregrinator is intended only as offline app. It is home loaded on the smartphone and can be used in Rome. An Internet connection is
