Even if some peaks are behind others Peak Scanner still allows you to get details on them (obscured peaks are shown in grey).
You'll find Peak Scanner a much better experience than other apps of this type:
- fast and smooth display
- no finger taps required - just point - instant results!
- worldwide coverage (unlike other apps that make you pay for each country)
- Quickly home in on the particular mountain peaks you want using the crosshairs to get details
Peak Scanner includes data on over 350,000 mountain peaks all over the world. Whether you're in the Alps, the Lake District, or The Rockies, Peak Scanner is your ideal travel companion - you'll never need to ask, "What's that mountain over there?" again.

I really wanted to like this app after using the free version. Sadly, I do not like it. I find the pro version to be slower, less accurate, and more frustrating than the free version and I'm not sure why. Ultimately it's the slow performance/lag issue that I find so frustrating. I'm back to using the free version, which, in my experience, is much, much better!
Emailed the company but they haven't responded.
Works perfectly fantastic app for when I'm climbing Munro's. Support query was answered promptly with resolution. I'd highly recommend this app.
After giving this app and developer an extremely bad review. I must now give credit where it's due. Quantac did contact me, and have issued an update which has rectified the problem. Sarah was extremely helpful and apologetic, in fact she couldn't have been more friendly. Well done to Quantac.
