Questrade IQ Mobile

IQ edge is good but we need a better app also as people have school, work and commute/travel all the time, we can't always be on front of the computer. Last update was in 2015, I mean come on you guys have the money to hire better app devs that can make this app 10x better.

update 0602 Still a sluggish second rate trading app only for the most rudimentary use. Ill say it again. App requires a major overhaul both in performance and features. Why reinvent the wheel. Look at what others have done both right and wrong. Think or Swim app is near perfection.

This app has got worse over time. In this latest version it only shows a couple of the active trades that I have. All of them are visible in the desktop applications but 20 are missing in the mobile app! If its not fixed soon I'm changing brokers since not being able to see all my trades could cost me a lot. ############Update in JANUARY 2016: Still not fixed after my comments above in JANUARY 2015. What the hell is so hard to fix? Most of my trades now done elsewhere...

Despite my previous one star. The app seems working fine now. I did not have experience any sort of bugs **Im gonna give back a one star to the app. The chart on the mobile app is not update properly when you refresh it live and compare to the current price of the stock. P&L are always delay U REALLY NEED TO UPDATE THIS APP QUICK!!

Please update this app. Crashes all the time on launch saying connection issue even if connected. Cant scroll down to read the news releases. Using back arrow takes you out of the trading platform and into your my.questrade account? Needs work.

I've been kicked out of my profile every time I do research on companies. (Going into news and what not) I'm hoping they fix these issues as well as make the side bar a little easier to use. Also need a home button as when I go into balances or positions I can't get back to search up anything

This apps looks and feels like it is a series of afterthoughts tossed together. It does not present like there was a master plan to conceive and develop a robust application. The charts are absolutely terrible; the worst I've ever seen. No streaming data whatsoever. The free and public Google & Yahoo Finance websites are more useful, which is sad.

There's some bug in the app, where I click back (e.g back out of placing a new order), and the app falls back to the html5 version of their website. I hate it.... And I can't seem to get back to the app, I need to explicitly kill it from android settings and restart.

Use it everyday on the fly. Only thing that frustrates me is if I put in a limit order I usually can't view or modify it under orders menu with this app. That being said some days that part even works. Its a strange ongoing issue I've had with last couple phones using this. Overall I'm happy with it but by sounds of it I'm the only one

Don't bother. The app simply doesn't work at times. Tried selling shares and it states I am trying to go net short, so doesn't allow. Tried buying shares with enough funds, and it says no money. Lists profits as losses in the total return. Have to go online, which is slow, to make certain trades with no logic to when and why.

This app has been in need of an overhaul for a long time now. Speaking to QT staff reveals they aren't too sure what they're doing about it, or when. Still can't access news properly. Purchasing a data package doesn't apply to the app - which is a complete joke. There are NO technical charting tools. An organisation as large as QT is fully capable of producing a proper app, this is a total mess. Unbelievable.

It's straightforward to use. Lags behind sometimes. The app doesn't rotate which would help chart viewing. There is also a scrolling issue. Once you remove your finger from scrolling it snaps back. I have only noticed this in the news section though.

Have tried using their android app and website in multiple browsers without luck. When logging into the app I get a message saying "the connection was interrupted. Please try again later" and if I press backspace it loads to the main app menu. But when selecting "stocks" it just forever loads. I get the same forever loading screen on the website when trying to access stocks as well. Seems like the only function that did work was allowing me to transfer my money to them

I like my Questrade desktop platform but this app is completely useless for trading options. I've been using it for years and the company hasn't changed anything. Pretty annoying when you are at work during the day and want to place a trade. If this doesn't change soon I'll have to shut down my accounts and sign up with Think or Swim.

I was reading the reviews and it was astonishing how many bad reviews this app had. I decided to try it anyway, but for my surprise was not even able to connect!!! The only reason I still have my account here is because the internet platform is ok. The app should be at least functional.

Bad design, bad design, bad design. That's pretty much it. Guys your app really sucks. You're making millions, you can afford a designer. Just go and hire one. Palm face

Questrade has done a great job with their web interface but this app is absolute garbage and needs a complete rebuild. Quite easily the worst app on my phone right now.

Pretty disappointing app. Can see my positions, or the marketview, but heaven forbid I want to see how my stocks are doing *and* how the stocks are doing today in a consolidated view. You just can't. There news articles are all 3-7 days old, no Google finance/news sources. Pretty much useless. Try executing a limit order. Unknown error (no error code to follow up with). How useful. So I need this app to execute transactions and another app to track my portfolio.... Questrade itself is great, but this app is not...

Major flaw in the newest update on my lg g3. When I look at my open orders it doesn't show me. Wich could create disaster. Back to using the website now. The app is garbage!

I used questrade for a couple of months. I got busy at work so I called them to cancel my acct and return the unused funds to my bank. The agent said he will take care of it and quoted me 7business days. A couple of months after I found out my account is still active and they kept charging me data package fees for months. Now I called again and the agent said he will speak to his supervisor. He gave me the same spiel but didn't close the acct. What a scam.

The web application and windows application works great, but the mobile app needs work! It's outdated and difficult to preform any chart analysis, I usually end up switching apps for that while on the go. Really only good for placing orders.

I can't even login. It tells me that my connection timed out. Please invest in this app because it has the potential to be quite effective

I have great internet and a great phone, have uninstalled and reinstalled but it still crashes/refuses to load. This app is garbage.

Everytime I try to log in whether I'm using Wi-Fi or data it gives me this message: The connection was interrupted. Please try again later. Pretty useless if you can't even use it.

Terribly outdated and clunky UI. Needs a complete overhaul. Only offers the most basic functionality. Embarrassing for a web based brokerage.

Cumbersome, but does the basics that you need. Their new app is much more polished.

very light on features. thinkorswim mobile app is the gold standard.

Junk. If you put an order through a pc you can't change it on here, it won't allow you.

It's happened far too many times. With the current downturn I've been pushed to my margin requirements. I've been trading just one stock since with small volume and it will yet again get pushed down to where I get a margin call, then immediately go back up the next day. Always about 30 minutes after I buy a stock, it will dive. After I sell, it skyrockets. This makes Questrade profit off of my back and it seems like there is something extremely fishy going on with these trading patterns.

This is just a typical dumbed down ios app. It even fails to display charts. The real rating this deserves is -5

Since the android upgrade to 5 from 4.4 this app became unusable. Mostly it's just not being able to see any values when trying to get quotes or place orders. Shouldn't be a hard fix. It still works on my tablet with android 4.2 on it.

The only thing this app is good for is buying or selling on the fly when you're not close to your laptop. A major error is that stop orders placed on your IG edge desktop application cannot be seen or modified on this mobile app.

If you place a stop, can't sell the stock of it goes higher. Problem with the app

Presentation of info and format could use some work , its okay just to check what's going on

Lacks basic usability features and in places the app is simply broken. I would never trust putting a trade through this shoddy interface.

Cant even login. I keep getting the same message saying that connection was interrupted. But I am sure I am connected to WiFi or 4G.

Terrible app, looks like it was designed by a monkey. Much too glitchy to trust with my money.

When logging in, I get a message indicating I need to install a mandatory update. I have the most up to date version of the app available. Literally useless.
