DAS RENNEN

2017 wird ein besonderes Jahr für die Stadt Hameln. Mit einer großen Aktion, initiiert durch den Lions Club Hameln Weserbergland, will die Stadt nach 733 Jahren endlich mit ihrer Geschichte aufräumen und dem Rattenfänger seinen gerechten Lohn auszahlen.

EIN FEST FÜR KINDER UND FAMILIEN!

Der Erlös der Veranstaltung geht an Hamelner Jugendgruppen und Jugendorganisationen!

Angeführt vom Rattenfänger und Oberbürgermeister werden 3000 Schwimmratten von den Kindern der Stadt zur Fußgängerbrücke zum Werder gebracht
und dort in die Weser gekippt. Das ist gleichzeitig der Start für das erste Hamelner Rattenrennen. Nach einer Strecke von etwa einem halben Kilometer werden die Ratten im Zieleinlauf in der Höhe der Jugendherberge wieder aus der Weser gefischt und die Platzierung registriert.

Das Event wird eingerahmt von einem Kinder- und Familienfest auf dem eigens für diese Zwecke hergerichteten Festplatz auf dem Werder. Dort steht neben den Verpflegungs- und Getränkeständen der Hamelner Vereine auch eine Hüpfburg und eine Videoleinwand, auf die der Rennverlauf und die Zielankunft übertragen wird. An der Platzabgrenzung und auf der Videoleinwand können sich die Sponsoren mit Werbebannern und eigenen Beiträgen präsentieren.

AUCH FÜR DIE UMWELT WIRD GESORGT!

Keiner Ratte wird es gelingen unseren wachsamen Augen zu entkommen und sich über die Weser in die Nordsee davonzumachen. Dafür sorgt eine schwimmende Barriere . Und sollte es doch einer Ratte gelingen diese mit List zu überwinden, sorgen die Helfer vom THW Hameln in ihren Booten, dass alle wieder eingefangen werden. MY RAT
