SerialMagic Gears provides a simple yet powerful way to connect wireless RFID GEN2 UHF NFC & barcode readers, meters, sensors, scales, and other wireless devices to easily get data into Android applications. Much more powerful and faster than using Bluetooth HID (keyboard mode) devices.

Worked fine until the latest couple updates. Scanner beeping settings have changed and now scanner unpairs/goes to sleep and loses bluetooth connection after a few minutes of inactivity. Terrible software now.

The app is free but if you're not using any scanfob aka opticon branded scanners you'll need to pay a $50 license fee. So be sure to buy scanfob only scanners since the license key is build on them. Only complaint is NFC still pops out when you pick the choice for it to not appear

Downloaded on my mobile a few days ago. Worked fine. Download on my tablet: error message that it crashes when I try to connect scanner. Now it won't let me uninstall. I have scanfob 2005. Hope this isn't a virus or a hacker? I'm weirded out now. Fix this now for more stars please.

Tried this on my Motorola Maxx and Samsung Exhibit II. Crashed on both.

Our company is using these with the Galaxy Player 5. Up until the last update we had no problems. Now the app crashes. Couldn't have happend at a worse time! Hopefully they get it fixed today! Other than that great app and the $50 is only if you dont get the scanners from them. They have the key embedded in the scanner.

This is really a demo as it inserts bogus text every 3rd scan unless registered for 50 bucks. Should really be up front about it being a DEMO.
