About Learn German from scratch
Learning languages is considered by many people a difficult process, and those who do it easily are considered 'gifted'. While it is true that certain people are better at learning languages, it is not because they have a mysterious gift, but rather because they know what and when to learn. They can find the most efficient way to advance with the least effort. The problem with learning languages is not that there is not enough information but rather that there is too much of it. Unfortunately in most cases, in most manuals, this information is presented in a very unnatural way. Unnatural for the brain, which is not used to learning a language by looking at tables, but rather by repeating patterns, by speaking sentences. The ability is there, in any human, to learn a new language, but in most cases it is not used efficiently.
That is what this app tries to do. There will be no dry rules or table of conjugations. Rather every bit of grammar or vocabulary will be embedded in sentences, very simple sentences at first but then adding more and more complexity. The final aim of this application is to build enough structure (both grammar and essential vocabulary) that you can at some point continue this journey alone, adding knowledge to a very solid base.
When you try to learn German, you will notice it has a very steep learning curve. Unlike other languages, to say even the simplest things in German requires a lot of grammar knowledge. Most people just skip the grammar hoping they can speak just by learning words. It is simply not possible and when they realize this they give up. In reality, German is not a difficult language, it just requires some effort in the beginning to master the basic rules, which are rather complicated. This app tries to present the grammar rules in German in an intuitive way, always integrated in sentences. Remember the sentence and you will remember the rule.
This free version contains a few hundres exercises with audio recordings. The full version is over 2000 exercises with over 6 hours of recordings.
Lastly, I would appreciate feedback to my email, especially about bugs. I put a lot of effort in the language apps that I am developing, but it is a personal project so I don't have the resources to test on all devices and configurations.

I'm leaving my original review below but the developer addressed my issues and replied to my problems. So it's only fair i come back and give the promised five stars. I love the way the app works, clearly a learning system decided by someone who thinks similarly to me. I haven't mastered any languages and can get by in several but it's often the nitty gritty of grammar that escapes me. I never studied harbour linguistics so quite often terms like nominative, dative, participal etc. are lost on me. However, this app gives clear examples and develops the grammatical nuances in a clear way. Ok I'm still not sure what all the jargon means exactly but now I've got much more of a 'feel' for when my grammar sounds right and I make many fewer mistakes. Now all I have to do is download all the companion apps to improve my other languages. Thanks for updating the tech and making the app run very quickly and smoothly. Original 3 star review: I'll give this five stars when it stops being so buggy. The concept is great but the implementation is a bit hit and miss I'm afraid. I constantly have to restart the app to proceed to the next lesson. Also, the "touch to show translation" is very unresponsive. For such a simple task as revealing hidden text it makes a meal of it. If the the Devs can fix the bugs and speed up the reveal etc I'd be thrilled.
