Sholawat Nariyah adalah sebuah sholawat yang disusun oleh Syekh Nariyah. Syekh yang satu ini hidup pada jaman Nabi Muhammad sehingga termasuk salah satu sahabat nabi. Ada seseorang sahabat yang cemburu dan lantas minta didoakan yang sama seperti syekh nariyah. Namun nabi mengatakan tidak bisa karena syekh nariyah sudah minta terlebih dahulu.

Mengapa sahabat itu ditolak nabi? dan justru syekh nariyah yang bisa? Para sahabat itu tidak mengetahui tentang praktek yang setiap malam diamalkan oleh syekh nariyah yaitu mendoakan keselamatan dan kesejahteraan nabinya. Orang yang mendoakan Nabi Muhammad pada hakekatnya adalah mendoakan untuk dirinya sendiri karena Allah sudah menjamin nabi-nabiNya sehingga doa itu akan berbalik kepada si pengamalnya dengan keberkahan yang sangat kuat.

Jadi nabi berperan sebagai wasilah yang bisa melancarkan doa umat yang bersholawat kepadanya. Inilah salah satu rahasia doa / sholawat yang tidak banyak orang tahu sehingga banyak yang bertanya kenapa nabi malah didoakan umatnya? untuk itulah jika kita berdoa kepada Allah jangan lupa terlebih dahulu bersholawat kepada Nabi SAW karena doa kita akan lebih terkabul dari tidak berwasilah melalui bersholawat.
