The more people with the Pawscout App installed, the more pets we’ll be able to reunite with their families, so encourage all the animal lovers in your life to help protect pets by installing this free app.
“Pawscout is a wonderful cause as much as it is a great product. Our organization intends to make San Francisco the world’s safest pet community through Pawscout.” - Dr. Jennifer Scarlett, Co-President, San Francisco SPCA
How It Works:
Once a Pawscout pet goes missing, the Pawscout App alerts all users within range of the lost pet. You can choose whether to grab the pet and call the owner, or to just run the Pawscout App so that the owner can pinpoint his pet’s location if the pet wanders within range of your phone.
Lost Pet Alerts
You can choose whether or not to receive alerts if a lost pet wanders within 200 feet of your phone. The alert will include detailed information on the pet and a photo to help you recognize him.
If you find a lost pet you’ll be someone’s hero. The pet’s Pawscout profile will tell you how to get in touch with the owner and how to take care of the pet until he’s reunited with his family.

Create a Profile
Create a digital profile for your dog or cat including a photo and information on health, behavioral and dietary needs so anyone who finds your pet will know how to care for him until he’s back home with you.
Pawscout’s radar-style honing uses your phone to locate your dog or cat within a 200-foot radius at all times. If your pet gets lost (or just takes himself for a long walk), the Pawscout App will ping nearby community members for help.
Set up a virtual leash and receive notifications if your pet strays too far from home. A map shows his last known location.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
