Since the March update this app is running smooth on both android and wear. The user interface is simple but elegant and cluttered free without all the useless gimmicks that other apps have. This is also the only app that I've found that allows wear only, so no need to lob a phone around with you. To add to the experience the customer service is second to none with the developer quickly responding to emails. I can't rate this app highly enough! !!
I started using this app in the gym but I find that the app and my SmartWatch (Sony SmartWatch 3) go out of sync so my phone says start your 60 sec run but my watch says I still have 20 SECS walking left! And it doesn't resync during this time!
Clear Instructions to try out the C25K challenge. Nothing fancy but it has the most critical components to schedule and keep up your running schedule.
Got this because it can work with AndroidWear w/o the phone present. Running latest version as of today. Phone is Samsung Note Edge, watch is Moto 360 Sport, updated to latest firmware last week. Problem: If your watch screen turns off, this app doesn't work. Lets say you have 10 seconds left to walk before you run. Your watch screen turns off. It will count down to the end of the walk cycle, and sit at the very beginning of the run cycle. Forever. Until you wake up the screen. So it could be 30 seconds later, and when you wake the face you immediately get the vibration and it says 1:59 left to run. If this limitation is inescapable, then maybe the app can turn your watch face constantly on while it is running. If that is not possible, a popup message reminding you to set your screen to ON instead of battery saver would be good. Also, if I'm looking at the app and accidentally swipe right, the app goes away and stops. If I try to open it back up hoping that it will continue where it left off, I'm out of luck. It starts all over again. This is NOT helpful!!! Please fix these issues!
This app is fantastic, a nice simple interface and easy couch to 5K integration over any music app.
Why the data is not connected to Google Fit database
But it gets a bit tough 5th week onwards.
App is really good at what it does. The interface is much better Zen labs'.
Would be 5 stars if you had the same voice instructions at the intervals on Android Wear like the mobile application.
Great help getting back into running
A nice simple app that does what it says. I mainly use the wear app on my LG Watch R. One minor bug, I need to set the screen to always on otherwise the timer locks up. Also it would be great if the wear app caused the watch to vibrate at the transition points between walk and run so I don't need to look at it all the time.
I really like the look of this app but it would be 100x better with material design. FAB start button. Rounded edges belong on ios. The hamburger menu does not follow the design guidelines. I will be starting my c25k experience Tuesday and will update my review on the functionality later.
I got this app because I wanted a 5k that worked on wear alone. Problem is there are no vibrations or audio cues (over Bluetooth headset) to notify you of the next stage. So I kept having to look at my watch. Plus, it crashed half way through the run. This would be useful if it at least vibrated strongly between stages, or even better, had audio cues that could be sent from the watch to a Bluetooth headset.
5 min in on Day 1 it bugged via lock screen issue. That aside, the app does its job. I'm not a runner & my exercise routine is typically natural play/work outdoors. But it's winter & my house is buried in snow. So I decided to use it for dancing instead. I enjoy it more this way.
Good program. Only issue I have is after having to do a factory reset I had to repurchase the upgrade. Not sure why I was required to pay twice.
The best! Got Android wear support too!
After being out of running for 3 years with injuries and surgeries, I was looking for an app that would work me back into running comfortably. This did just the trick. I love that it announces, over my music, when to run/walk and for how long so I don't have to look at my phone anymore.
Great app but it kind of jumps from week to week so it's hard to transition. Edit: what I mean is that the difficulty of each week is a bit too much more than the week b4, so it's hard to transition from week to week
I really appreciate the standalone mode for wear. It is sleek and simple. The vibration cues are great and a much smoother way to cue than audio. This works really well in tandem with a route mapper like Google Fit for jogging, which also runs standalone on wear. Keep up the great work!
Me and my girlfriend run together and both use the app, but the time does not run simultaneoulsly, although started at the same time, my workout ends 50 seconds earlier than my girlfriends. This is day 14. And I would like to see Google fit support.
Definitely needs Android wear notification support. The latest version quits after the whole run is done instead of marking the day as complete
Big improvement over last version. And it keeps me running!
Great app but it kind of jumps from week to week so it's hard to transition
The only thing I wish this had is a counter (visual, aural, or both) for which run you're on. 1 of 8, 2 of 8, that sort of thing.
Got in on the trial from the Android apps subreddit. It's beautiful and super functional. Couple things I've noticed on my stock LG G3 running 5.0.1 Lollipop. When I'm running, Hangouts notifications on the lock screen cause the list to flicker and get all weird. Only happens when the run timer is in use. Also, sometimes the voice will tell me to walk for 5 minutes but the app counts off 3. That's all I've noticed so far. Just finished day 11.
Ive never was a runner just in the past 5 yrs started walking miles, this is something thats on my bucket list to run a 5k and i believe i will achieve that with the help of this app.
Really good. Literally never run before and this has got me started! Android Wear support would be fantastic.
I tried starting the program yesterday. I started the warm-up, then tried to text a friend. When I went back to the app, it restarted the clock. I then went to start some music playing, and again it restarted. Might be some more pesky bugs that need squashing.
Will change rating when I can evaluate plus version
I can turn on my phones music player (MILK, on Samsung Galaxy S6) and turn on this app....when it needs to make a announcement to change actions it quiets my radio and then turns music back up when announcement is finished. ... I think this app might just be the ticket to get motivated. Gradual approach, building endurance at a nice pace. Very simple to use.
Managed to unlock the in app purchase using a promotional key found on a promo website. It wouldn't initially work, but after spamming it for 20 minutes it suddenly went through okay.
Simple, uncluttered and beautiful. I wish I could play some of my music between announcements.
now I am on my way to perfect healthy life. thanks
Thanks appgratis! Adware.
How do i enter the promo code seem to have only the standard version
Got this through app gratis, thank you, look forward to trying it out :)
