Receipt Ninja - Split Expenses

It's really easy to input receipts and see where money is going, but there isnt a feature to add credit. If they added a feature that shows how much credit I have left I'd give them 5 stars. Other apps like this are too complicated and want you to connect your bank account to keep up with your money. This app lets you input receipts and track money without forcing you to input your bank login

Great tool for managing expenses on trips with friends. Who paid for what and how to split it. Shows the balances, can send reports... With this app - no more headaches on trips regarding money. I wish I had thip app long time ago. Great job!

Good app would be better if there was a desktop interface. Cumbersome 2 export and receipt pics eat up a lot of memory on your phone I bought the ads free thinking you would offer more features but it didn't.

The app is really nice but adding a few features might help like: 1) Providing a provision to round-off decimal values. 2) Ability to edit existing payment where it should show how current value is split and if someone wants to edit they can do that instead of selecting the whole bunch of people again. 3) Two way authentication of whether the borrower has paid you back or not.

EDITED: Well It looked like a flaw but in the end the algorithm used has a different work around, And in the end everyone pays equally, just that in Sub groups it does look confusing at first but you pay the difference accordingly with the whole group. [It works fine for regular calculations like a entire group, but as soon as you add a subgroup transaction, like say 3 out of 8 people it shows the right amount in receipts but as soon as I hit reports it miss calculates everything and adds amount even to the ones that were not in the subgroup, please fix it it's a major flaw ! (IGNORE) Just keeping this as someone too might be a bit confused with the calculation part.]

Easy user interfaces. Great features including exporting data to Excel. Can even record expenses where multiple people pool money to pay for a single item or service. Can easily split expenses among all in the group, or only chosen people.

Good but not great. Travelling in Cambodia & Myanmar and cant choose local currency so had to fudge with another. Currency choices only shows 3 letter acronym and not the county and no way to select missing countries. No way to deal with currency changes (ie 100 usd into x CDN and vise versa as typically lose money in buy and sell and need to record this when hopping countries). Choice of category of spend is laid out differently in interface so frequently forget to change (slight interface change whould make this cleaner). Choosing who owes is not intuitive but it works ( and could be better by predefining groups). Agree with others that reporting is not 100% as doesn't always show currency and in excel export the currency is in same cell as the amount making it text and therefore unusable for automatic summation ( I typically added extra columns with formulas to strip out currency text so can do sums). IOS trip splitter is perfect program but not available on android, but this is best I have found so far on this platform.

Very helpful app in keeping track of finances. Used it to categorise expenses city-wise using the Events feature. Extremely user-friendly UI, a great app overall.

Good app. Reporting needs to be improved further to get more views of the data.

Used to be a great app. I gave it 5 stars. But something has happened where it now removes all the line breaks from the summary email. It's now become it unreadable and unusable. Will have to uninstall it and look for something else if not fixed soon.

Love this app but the only thing it needs is when it shows the report by person, It needs to show what currency the total is. Right now it just gives a total but is it in cad or usd etc.

This is a great app for trips to track who owes who by the end. I wish it had more reports about how much we spent on what and broke it down more.

Keeps my charge and cash travel expenses in an easy to use mobile format. I export the list to a printable format for entering into my expense report.

I do a lot of group trips with friends, and I use this app every time. It's an incredibly convenient way to keep track of expenses and simplify the process of splitting up the trip costs.

This is a great basic app. But needs more functions such as ability pay in multiple currencies, split bills by percentage, and ability to record how much each person paid back so far. Then that would be much better!

It's the first app I've tried. Easy to use. I do wish there was a better way to save our entries besides backing it up to Google,drop box or your memory card.

I got it when we had to five way split vacation and it worked so well I still use it for lunches to determine who pays next while keeping the balance in mind. Been great for years.

Easy to navigate and extremely useful. We use it for two people and one currency but I love all the options. Helps me keep track of travel spendings. Thanks a lot for this app!
