bURLy helps protect your privacy, battery, and data plan by giving you more control over web links in apps. bURLy is a supercharged replacement for the standard browser chooser.
✓ bURLy unshortens short URLs (e.g. goo.gl, bit.ly), redirects, and other tricks people use to hide links. No more do you open a short URL in Chrome only to find out it was a Youtube video all along.
✓ bURLy discovers what kind of file the link points to, so you can open images directly in the Gallery, or download documents, without opening a web browser.
✓ Instead of Android's simplistic Just once/Always buttons, create rules based on URLs, file types, or apps. It's only a few clicks: easier than making a file association in Windows, or filtering email in Gmail.
✓ Protect your security & privacy, and stop spies: bURLy can automatically detect when websites support SSL and use it, even if the original link wasn't HTTPS.
✓ Maybe you have two browsers installed, but some sites only work in Firefox, and others only work in Chrome: now you can create rules to open the right browser for each site automatically!
✓ You can even completely block links to a given website or app. If an app always sends you to a spam site, just make a rule to "do nothing" for links to "spamsite.com".
✓ With bURLy's unique "manual override" button, you can turn off rules for a single occasion. bURLy needs some permissions in order to work:-
INTERNET to investigate links before opening them. bURLy doesn't store or share with Shadowburst or third parties what links you click or what apps you use.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE to offer a "Wi-Fi only" option
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE so you can download files to the "Downloads" folder
NFC so scanning a tag can examine its URL with bURLy, and even open it with apps that don't support NFC

Not sure how it works. But the Uber add keeps coming up from Google play. it's not that clear how to use the app, please make it simple for us no technical people.

Supposedly I can use this to help stop google play from randomly opening, but I have no idea how. I installed this app and play still opens randomly, no options came up and I don't know how to set up the program so that it works right.

Everytime I click on Burly a black box comes up saying Burly is forced closed..then choose report or ok..also do I click the burly opinion for everything or just when I think it's an app popping up..I can usually tell.. :)

Honestly it's great when it stops pop ups, but the Google play keeps opening up. It would be AWESOME if you guys could figure out a way to block that. Otherwise I love love love bURLy!

It do what it say it do. But it will crash eventually after lots of rules is set. Also if a block rule is set for an Ad , the Ad window will open then close , it will not prevent it from opening at the first place. The most useful option of this app , it will show you the link of the Ad.

This is one of the greatest things because I have random apps show up on my screen and I haven't tapped anything to relate to the app and this application (with configurations) has stopped it. This app is a life saver

Google and their new evil app on my Samsung S5 keeps opening playstore to random apps they are trying to sell that I want nothing to do with them. This occurs randomly when you select contacts, txt mssgs, etc. Burly is helping to block that. I wish Burly would identify the link each time it opens but Burly is blocking it about 50% of the time.

Unfortunately, the app is FC when clicking on a link embedded in a Songkick email, likely because link is quite long, though not so much however... Otherwise, sounds quite interesting

When your device tried to automatically open an ad or open the play store without you doing anything, this app stops it and asks you what you want to do about it. Brilliant, now I can stop these happening.
