Switch between manual and continuous scan modes for complete control! Scan student cards with QR Codes using your mobile device camera to reduce time spent capturing attendance. SAM will tag attendance records with GPS coordinates if your mobile device supports it. "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED. 3. Student and Class Import
Import students and classes from a comma-delimited (CSV) file! Simply create and save a CSV file on your mobile device with the following column layout and import the CSV file using the new SAM import feature. The SAM app will automatically insert students and classes from the CSV import file and attempt to reduce the possibility of duplicate records being created.
Import CSV File Layout (v4.0):
Column 1: Student Number (maximum length = 10 characters)
Column 2: Student Name (maximum length = 35 characters)
Column 3: Student Email Address (maximum length = 255 characters)
Column 4: Student Mobile Phone (maximum length = 20 characters)
Column 5: Class Name (maximum length = 35 characters)
CSV File Notes:
- Do not include any column headers in your CSV file.
- Do not enclose column values in quote marks.
- Only use a comma ',' as a column separator.
- Only use a new line character at the end of each line.
4. Generate Student Cards
Easily generate single or multiple student cards with QR Codes directly on the SAM app! Save student cards on your mobile device or distribute student cards using built-in social sharing features native to your mobile device. If you prefer to use your own student card generator, SAM will be able to read any QR Code that meets international standards.
5. Generate Reports and Charts
View annual, top and monthly attendance charts and statistics, or view student lists, attendance detail, student attendance and class attendance reports directly on the SAM app! Save reports on your mobile device in comma-delimited (CSV) format, or distribute reports using the built-in share features native to your mobile device.
6. Database Maintenance
Easily backup and restore the SAM app database directly on your mobile device. For extra piece of mind, link SAM to your Dropbox account and backup or restore the SAM app database from your Dropbox account. "Dropbox" is a registered trademark of DROPBOX INC.
Dropbox Integration Steps:
- Tap 'Manage Database' from the Home menu.
- Tap 'Manage Dropbox'.
- Tap 'Authorize'
- The SAM app will open the Dropbox sign-in page.
- Sign in to Dropbox with your Dropbox credentials.
- When asked to allow SAM to access to its own folder, tap 'Allow'.
- Dropbox will provide an authorization code.
- Copy the code provided by Dropbox.
- Switch to the SAM app and paste the code into the field provided.
- Tap 'Link to Dropbox'
- If successful, Dropbox backup and restore features will then be available.

Thank you SAM, attendance monitoring at our yoga club is being automated. Request to add a date and information fields to the student database. The date field can be used for subscription from or to dates and the information field to store anything about the student. Hope it would be feasible. The name field now accepts only alphabets strictly. If made to accept alpha numerals and symbols too, will also partially serve the purpose. Thanks again.

Does not show list of absent students. Will double count if card is scanned twice. Cannot manually mark present if card is lost.

Awesome.easy to use. Is there anyway this will be integrated to Google drive as excel? Also auto scan scans the same code multiple time confuses us..and end up doing manual scans. Also..multiple users not able scan students. Anyhow. It solves the purpose for us for now and happy with this. Thanks for this app. Looking out for latest versions with more features

Importing Names and Class from CSV, then generating QR Codes for the students was awesome! Now that I have taken their attendance for a week, HOW do I export the attendance reports to spreadsheet like Excel or Sheets? And how do I delete a student and their past attendance?

It helps me keep track on my students attendance and simplified my workload. But, I would like to know how to delete the card if it had been generated twice ( after changing to a new student's number ) from the student's card folder.
