Media Player Classic Remote

Keeps crashing when trying to open a file, somewhat unresponsive and tends to keep running in the background. Use only if on Android 6 or lower, as support seems to have all but stopped.

This is a top notch app for htpc owners. Though it's lacking on some features such as disabling subtitles. Zooming in and out. Hence the 4 stars. I hope you will implement these soon!

Everytime I restart PC/laptop sever gets discontinued in app... Server list in app is not getting updated & saved if selected manual option... In main window, fastfwd/fastbkwd buttons expected.

Really great app but missing i major feature for me. The option to play an entire folder. I have over 8tb of storage and some are seasons of shows but i cannot play an entire season folder

I love this app but please allow us to be able to close the app without going into settings, as it persists on the notification shade for forever until forced closed

Preview on lock screen needs to stay and not swap between background and preview, perhaps advanced options pertaining to this

(edit: it has a frequent bug. If the server is closed before the app on the phone, it won't be possible to exit the app). There could be a few minor cosmetic improvements, but it's nitpicking. For sure though, the landscape layout is broken (at least on my mobile).

I use this player on my pc and it works perfectly. When i start this app i get " cannot connect to server " the help says to go to options to fix this but where is the option menu located ?

Once the server settings are correctly set up it works very well, this is a usability upgraded when compared to lugging around a keyboard and mouse. Thanks a bunch!

It's a good remote but lack one thing, the 10 seconds forward button. And I would happy to pay for a non advertising version.

I love this app, and I would give it 5 stars but the notification bar won't go away unless I restart my phone

May you add audio/subtitle delay feature in the future?

Two little things: If the mpc is closed through the pc before closing the app, the app gets "unable to connect to server" and is can't be closed, only by force shutting it in android's settings. Second thing is that it would be cool if there was a "jump 10 seconds forwards" button. Thanks!

The app works great. It really really needs a playlist feature. Please sort that problem out, then the app will be perfect. I have to go looking through 100's of music videos to change each song. I would like to come back and give this app a 5. Please fix it. Thanx

I don't know why this app has a low rating. It works flawlessly and, it's easy to set up. For a future release, can we get a button to move forward 10 seconds as well as the rewind 10 seconds?

Did the job. Have all the required features. Quite minimal and simple. Recommended (Edit: i can't exit the app. Even when i force close it the app notification bar still appears.)

This app is a severe battery drainer if you forget to exit by pressing back. It still works as a remote though but it is irritating to see half your battery gone just because you forgot to exit the app.

Works like it should BUT when ever the app isn't open (or hasn't been open in awilie) ie Not in memory it causes android to give a crash notification every so often (kinda annoying when doing other stuff) Not sure whats causing it (clean android 6 and 5 install test on a One plus one Non root and Root

Great app! Other similar apps might look fancier and have more features, but I keep coming back to this one as it's the only one offering status bar and lock screen control. A few ideas/suggestions: - instead of the fixed 10s back button, make it configurable as small/medium/large jumps - add a fastforward button (with the same options as above) on all the various screens - add an option to pause playback when a call is incoming - add volume + and - buttons along with the volume scroll bar (for the weirdos that like rounded number volume settings) Thanks for your valuable time! P.S. Heck, if you are so inclined and have too much time, make the whole homescreen (or more homescreens) editable and configurable to put any number of various buttons/controls anywhere we like (on some sort of grid pattern).

Perfect for my needs, unfortunately as is the case with android not all features are compatible with my HTC one m7, specifically lock screen controls

I get the message "Are you sure you want to try loading it in MPC?" every time I open an archived file. MPC-HC has supported rar for years. Otherwise it's a great remote.

Please add a "view playlist" option, seems like the only thing missing

No option to quit the app though, really annoying to have to kill the service when you are finished with it

Lately I've been unable to connect to the mpc player. Not sure why. Running the server test in the player and all seems fine. Running the mad vcr settings if that matter. And switched router. Server Ip and port are correctly set up and port is opened. Frustrating.

Hi team, Great work. It works perfectly fine on moto G. I loved it much. One enhancement badly needed. We should able to see playlist on mobile. So that we can jump over to any songs added in playlist.

Easy to setup and works perfectly. Does not contain the useless 'advanced' features of other programs. Everything within the app functions perfectly and flawlessly. 5 stars

Seems like it works really well but I would like a $0.99 option to remove the ads. UI needs a lot of updating.

The UI is a bit dated but doesn't really matter. It does the job and does it really well.

Freshly opened works great, no lag. After few min, have to kill/reopen to respond. Mem states less~40M free, app using 39M. Turned off phone sleep. Leaving open or trying from notification bar, same problem. Did a factory reset, no luck. Only config change is for .1 network. Think I'm stuck, but better than nada. Thanks.
