Skydrop Mobile

Skydrop is one of the best home automation products I have ever owned. They system is easy to install, setup, monitor, and control. The app makes it easy to adjust watering as needed. The system adjusts for heat and weather. My lawn has never looked better.

I find the app to be the preferred way to interface with the Skydrop unit, as using the unit in person there is a lot of delay in the screens. The app has proven to be efficient, and it does what I need it to do without being overly complicated.

Hands down my favorite tech purchase for my house, and easily my favorite home upgrade. Skydrop makes watering your yard easy, with it's customizable zones, and it's so easy to use! I personally enjoy being able to monitor the water use, and SkyDrop's ability to cancel a watering session because of rain, or running extra jobs because the lack of rain. It's all you need when it comes to managing a water system, I love it!

Replacing my old sprinkler system controller with Skydrop was a great upgrade that I wish I would have done sooner. Setting up the watering program is simple and being able to control zones from the app while I troubleshoot my sprinkler system is a very helpful feature for me.

I Have been using this system for 2 months now an I love it. It is great to be able to make necessary from my phone or computer. I do wish it had a little better antenna, that being said I did have my controller mounted is a less then ideal spot. I have had several neighbors ask e to install this at their homes.

I've been using my skydrop for a year now. My water bill has lowered and my grass is greener. I no longer water unless the weather dictates it. It's easy to setup and use, as well as modify through the app.

The only downside is my internet, but that's not the controllers fault, the more you use it the better it gets

Once they add the ability to input actually water output per zone instead of the system using a default based on sprinkler type it will get 5 stars.

Nice interface and like the ability to change water times from my phone. Wish there was an easy way to turn off water for a particular day without having to turn it off completely.

This system is a life saver!!!! It helped my parents out alot its so easy to use and set up

System is pretty good. It's easy to setup, and it's easy to use the app. I have recommended this system to everyone.

Easy setup. The watering times seem a little off but I like the ability to customize.

Overall, I really like the app and the controller. Even with the issues that will be covered below, I highly recommend the system. Far better than having to go out to turn off the controller before a rain. That said, I am having intermittent issues with the app not connecting with the cloud. Tried rebooting controller and reinstalling the app and I still get cloud connection issues. It takes a few restarts of the app to get connection sometimes. It's only intermittent, which i know can be difficult to pin down. I hope the next update resolves this.

Skydrop continues to duplicate the watering schedules we create and then doesn't run because it says they're conflicting. No reply from support. Connection keeps dropping lately and it's not due to my network/Wi-Fi.

I am using android O beta on my pixel xl and this app will open for a few seconds and then crashes every time. Works fine on my other android devices with nougat

App keeps crashing. Can't contact the Cloud Service intermittently. Can't login via browser intermittently. Screen failed on controller. New screen is laggy and seems like the processor can't keep up. Unreliable.

According to the app I have shorts in different zones. But on the controller it shows that the zones are perfectly fine and I can actually control it through the controller, not the app. It also freezes and I have to close the app multiple times. Also says my controller is offline even though I can ping it . Ready to rip the system out and get something different.

So far the app seems to do its work... but only when it wants to. Haven't been able to find out why, but when trying to turn on the watering it says the device is disconnected, but using any other method (web or directly) the device seems to be connected with a strong signal, and on the web i can do it almost immediately. Even if i refresh the app (the symbol shows the device as green, which i think means connected), the app keeps saying the device is disconnected and check my wifi connection. Odd. Hope you guys can make the app more reliable.

Still no option to water all active zones xx number of minutes. please add

Excellent service and excellent device. Have 2 of them now, 1 for front of house and 1 for Back. They save a ton of water. Highly recommend.

The app is not going past the loading screen.

Fairly easy to use. Lacking in functionality /flexibility. The app should be able to enable smart watering and spilt watering zone times to do one after another. If you don't have enough water pressure to have everything going at once you have to set it up manually which basically defeats the purpose of having this system. Please consider this for next release of app as the hardware is capable of doing this.

The best sprinkler controller I've ever had. Easy to use and good looking. Smartphone control is very convenient.

This thing is amazing, and a great deal for its price

This app never saves changes. In order for me to make an adjustment, I have to do it from the hardware. What's the point of the app if I have to do that anytime I need to make a change?! Fix that and give the user more white space around tapping objects. More times than not, tapping a object does not work

Does not water two of the six zones. Received new back plate... Hope that solves the problem..

Does everything it says it will do. My favorite feature is if I'm sitting inside watching TV and the dogs start barking wildly at the cat across the street, I can turn on the sprinkler zone by the picket fence from the comfort of my couch and then for some reason the dogs stop barking!

The app enters initial setup every time I launch it. The notifications don't work and the configurations between the site and the app don't seem to match. Edit: App author fixed the initial setup issue. So far, very responsive. All issues are fixed.

I have found Skydrop invaluable as we travel worldwide and are able to control our landscape watering wherever there is internet access.

Just works and no more sprinkling when it rains! My landscape looks beautiful!

Android 7.0 Nexus 6p always force closes first time. When you go back in and force it to refresh it doesn't always refresh information. I usually have to manual kill all and start up again to get most current information. App other wise is nice. Would be nice to have an option to say water x times for x time for establishing new seed.

The ease of running my sprinkler clock from my phone... and it's pretty easy to use - good job, guys!

The app refused to function or connect to the service on several android phones I tried. Ultimately resorted to using the web interface - worked well, just inconvenient in the moment.

A good app all in all, it could use more customizing on the notification options, I don't get a sound or a message that my watering started, or ended!
