Nirbhaya: Be Fearless© is an android emergency application, which can send a distress call or emergency message to a specified contact or group in an emergency situation faced by a woman or any other individual in general. Correct Location, Information and Communication, with and from the app is dependent upon the basic hardware/software requirements, like - Active Data plan, SMS plan, minimum talk time and active GPS functionality.

New features in Nirbhaya: Be Fearless© V 3.0

1. Geo Fence
Create Geo Fence at current location or at any other location and keep your
friends and family informed. By configuring radius and group selected, users
entry and exit from the Geofence will be informed to the selected group.

2. Stamp
User will be able to mark their current location or any other on the map as safe or unsafe. In case of Unsafe a reason will be selected.Users can also view a heat map and places showcasing safe and unsafe areas

3. Power Button
Pressing of power button - sends SOS message to the group selected and saved in the App.

4. Shake to Alert
Shake your device to send an emergency message even if the phone is locked, to a group of contacts as assigned to the SOS key.

5. Unsafe Area Alert
Users get an alert if they are in an area which has been marked potentially unsafe.

6. Alerts about your location to your chosen contacts with Improved location accuracy and updates after every 300
meters change in position up to 2 hours.

7. Heat Map
You can view a heat map by touching the heat map icon placed in top bar of the stamp screen. It shows safe(Green) and unsafe(Red) areas in a particular location. Share on social network, publish a place as safe/unsafe on web. View the map of safe/unsafe places through features - search, places and heat Map.

What it does?

. A Touch/Tap on 'SOS' short-cut key on user's mobile's home screen
in an emergency situation can deliver a distress text message to the
configured contact group, seeking help and indicating the user's location.
. 'Call' short-cut key can call the configured number.

Features:

. It sends an alert by way of an SMS or phone call or Facebook Post with
the person's location to the configured group through the Global
Positioning System (GPS).
. It can easily be used as a safety utility that will help create a safe
haven for women/people in the cities and countries where they live.
. It can be used in case of attempted molestation, accident, family
Emergency, etc.. through pre-defined text messages.
. The users of Nirbhaya: Be Fearless© App are also required to submit
personal details
such as email ids, residential address, blood group and emergency contact
numbers.
. Users can configure their own list of contacts including police and
other close relatives and friends.
