pFolio for Google Photos

Good app....only thing is when you organize by date, it only goes by single days. I'd like for either to open entire months (sometimes only one or two pics were taken per day) or when scrolling through pics, move on to the next day instead of starting over the same day, when you get to the days' last image. Same thing for the slideshow function, it can only make a slideshow out of a single day's shots. Unless I'm wrong...am I? Additionally, it doesn't always update. I Have to dump the cache and downloaded files in order for it to update recent additions to my google photo archive.

Good app but a couple things have me looking for an alternative: 1) A setting to disable the wake lock during slideshow mode. I want to be able to control the screen turning on/off myself with Tasker. 2) An option to have videos downloaded and auto-started during a slideshow.

I have been using the Picasa version for many years and loved it! After Google killed Picasa and most of the API with it, this is the only access the developers have to Google Photos. It is much less powerful than the old Picasa version (Google's fault) but I still like it better than G Photos for displaying (always filling the full screen regardless of orientation), selective album offline view, auto upload to specific album (i don't like the auto G Photos backup) and other neat features. Thank you!

I prefer this to G photos as I can update and view albums, view high definition pics as uploaded etc. As long as this app is supported, I will continue to use it.

Good app, does what I wanted. Very responsive developer fixed an issue for me very quickly.

I could not get it to go full screen so complained to the dev and it seems that it was a problem between the tablet and the chair. I would still like it to show the downloaded pics but it's working for me.

Keeps things stored on time

Does what it claims, and does it very efficiently. Reliable caching to ext SD card. User has lots of control over what gets uploaded and downloaded, and under what conditions. But all the defaults are sensible, so if you just want to install it and run it, without tinkering, you'll be OK. Developer is VERY responsive: I had a glitch with an update; reported it; Brian responded in less than 24 hours, saying he had just uploaded a new update that fixed the problem. The new update (2.5.11) is working perfectly. Please don't be put off by the lack of a trial version: just pay the tiny asking price, install and enjoy. The time you save can be used to enjoy your photos, or take more. Samsung SM-T800 on KitKat 4.4.2 Samsung GT-I9195 on Jelly Bean 4.2.2

I love this app!! The album caching works very good. Set it and forget it. Surprised this doesn't have more downloads. There is room for small improvements, but this app is loaded with powerful features. Very fast, love that I can cache to external SD card. Love the last update with new sorting options. Thank you!!

AndroidTV support lacks too many features, e.g. zooming. And a lot of options could be assigned to specific buttons, but the app does not use this potential.

While Picassa Tool couldn't access my Google account, this does. It's also one if the rare apps that allows you to edit caption data.

The first app I've found that can do daydream for my Nexus Player. Thanks. Would be great if slideshow could use multiple accounts at the same time rather than selecting one at a time. That way we could have a photos for the whole family on the big screen.

Can't see chromecast icon and can't select sdcard1 for storage location

I was expecting ti be able to change the image view to a list, as well as the album view. I had rad the one review saying they don't have it, but I didn't quite understand what they meant after I bought it… anyways, until this it's fix, I'd recommend buying PicsPro for Picasa instead. It's about the same as this & is only $0.99. Please add that feature though, it's the only thing I really need for Picasa!

Wouldn't play videos from my Google photos

The only things this app needs is a better way of filtering tags and stars, and a way to open/access multiple Picasa accounts at the same time.

Can sync my photos to SD-Card, amazing fast, simple no confusion, can organize my photos with this app, can filter the albums so no long search anymore!! Waited so long to finally get a super good app like this!

Better than previous version, with Google+ integration

Very easy to use and you can chose where to store your albums / sd card.Ext or sd card.0/ etc,.

I still can't place pictures in my contacts list, unless I downloaded them one at a time

I was looking for an app that I could use to show the description of the photo's in my picasa album during a slideshow and that works fine, only unfortunately showing the slideshow then on my chromecast device is not yet possible. Because of that I give the app a 3 star in stead of a 5 star rating.
