Sonocaddie 2 Golf GPS

This app does not work on Lollipop at all. Just constantly comes up with "connection failure". Nothing wrong with my phone or data connection as other Golf apps work perfectly.

When I was looking for a good program I came across sonocaddy. I have 3 phone's, a wildfire s,a Motorola defy and a zopo zp980. I found that the wildfire was 15 meters out, the Motorola was 10 meters out and the zopo was 2 meters out on 3 rounds of golf each phone. Defiantly has to do with the quality of the GPS in the phone. I love this sonocaddy and when I can afford it I will buy it. Great app :-)

Using LG G3, app does not even start. Disappointing.

This app is terrible. The free app doesnt even show the fairway. If you email them with a question you only get auto replies that doesnt answer anything! I dont think i want to take a chance to waste money on the pro version.

I have used this app for many years, and it has helped a great deal....it does have minor issues some times...

Like the artistic graphics of each hole. Easier to read in the sunlight. How do you access statistics page? Isn't appearing for me. Would be nice if scorecard had defaults instead of having to enter strokes, putt info each time.

Error:connection failure no layout. Paid up premium user...very dissapointed please fix urgently! 06 April 2016 still not fixed paying customer I'm sure you can do better...

It used to work great now it's too large for my phone what happened all of a sudden now it's saying that I have to pay for upgrade that I already paid for,,,WTF

After multiple attempts to install & open this app on my Galaxy Player 4.2, I keep getting "connection failed".

I went ahead and paid for the upgrade several months ago, maybe 1 yr. All of a sudden it stops working. Called customer service and they are no help. They say nothing is wrong and basically tell me to go pound sand. This is a scam. And it really isn't accurate. Compared to sky caddie and Bushnell, it's always of by 5-10 yards. That's a big difference when you're trying to hit the green. Wouldn't purchase. Android Razr HD maxx.

When it works, it's a great app. Good yardages, good graphic of the hole. However, after a recent update to the app - it's stopped working altogether on my phone.

Have had a Sonocaddie for several years and now have app on Samsung S4 mini. Works superbly, and because of the touch screen, gives even more help to the player. Easy to use, very little data overhead when downloading courses. When playing use flight mode and battery usage is minimal. Only drawback is that the app is illegal if playing a comp, as even in flight mode the phone is still considered by the PGA as being an internet device.

This app is great. However it is a little inconsistent. I measured it up against my dad skycaddie today and there were times where it gave a yard or two off from f/c/b. But there we other holes that it showed 9 yards off. So I didnt completely trust the readings. The ball measure feature held up pretty well against the skycaddie. Other then those major difference its a great app. Just need more accuracy. Gives a lot of good data

Software is as good or better as the real Sonocadie product; only thing I miss is traveled distance from tee. Extremely accurate with Samsung Galaxy. Samsung I using US/GPS and Russian/Glonass satellites, so instead of my 8 with Sonocadie 100, I was getting 20 satellites with phone for great accuracy. To have best accuracy let the screen be turned ON, each time the phone goes to sleep it has to reacquire satellites when it wakes up and that was my problem on first few holes. Great product!

Only loaded the demo course until deleted and reinstalled. Now only allowed to use one course unless i pay £21. I downloaded my home course only to find it is many years out of date. Many of the bunkers installed 5 years ago are not shown, none of the major water hazards are included, and the map views are difficult to understand on a course i know well. Think i'll save my £21 and use a different app. Shame, cos i liked the idea of the "artist" view as an alternative to google maps.

I used to love this app. Had the upgraded mode for several years. Now it will not open on my Galaxy 5 - waste of money

I have previously tried various golf apps, but Sonocaddie is by far the best, the most reliable and also the friendliest. The yardages given are very reliable, in some cases a few yards under reality, but never more than a couple of yards or so. The ability to see distances to hazards places this as a much more usable device than the current fad for watch type devices! Don't bother with the rest, this is the one.

Great app. But installed it again after i had to reset my phone. 8 installed Sonocaddie 2. But it does not work. Just get a connection erro

this app when opened, says it can't find a layout and freezes. anyone know what to do to fix. I did pay for it and would love to be able to use it. thank,

Used last 2 years, works great. In Ontario, most courses I visit are mapped. Would be nice to search within province, not just city. Also, ball yardage tracker never works. Upgraded phones 3x's, I email them new IMEI#, they are always quick to transfer account. Worth the money.

While the Sonocaddie 2 app will allow you to download up to 20 courses with the full color layout and aerial photos, they don't mention that you must have either wifi or mobile service at the course to get the aerial photos. I have a phone that no longer has mobile service (mobile service was moved to a newer phone) and used my wifi service to download the course layout and photos while I was still home. After getting to the course I opened the App and went to look at the layout and photos again. You cannot view the aerial photos unless you have either a wifi or mobile service at the course location. This is never mentioned in the App description and I find that is deceptive advertising to say they provide both full color layout and aerial photos of every course. Many of the courses I have played don't have a public wifi connection and are in the foothills mobile where phone service is unavailable. Don't expect to see your aerial photos under those circumstances. This should be explained clearly and explicitly.

Great Graphics are the best, gives the option to show either google map layout or picture graphic. Customer support is 2nd to none! Paid version is worth it. For prem acct, transfering to new phone only requires you to send them you're new IMEI number...hmmm, now the latest update only allows 5 transfers?

I have tried a few golf apps in the past.but alway come back to this one, I find the yardage spot on....

Downloaded cause it said "free" when trying to use the thing only the demo course was free to get real courses you need to pay 34.99. LOL. Much better free apps available. Uninstalled.

It still has bugs. Sand saves STILL don't calculate correctly after numerous emails to the developers. Plus, it is limited on the stats u can keep (fwys, putts, ss). It's easy to see in bright sunlight, but it's way too expensive for what u get. Golf Frontier is much cheaper and way better.

Most of the time it never actually loaded. A few times that it did it worked ok if not slowly. In other words I'm uninstalling and using something else.

Concept nice. But it updates positions extremely slow. GPS shows plenty of satellites but takes forever to change ur position. Skydroid much faster.

It took quite a while to initialize, but once it started working I was very impressed by this. It does not have all the bells and whistles but it does not eat into your data package and is very accurate. However, what you get here, you can get from igolf for free. It is in any case time for an update where the course info is concerned.

One of the best golf GPS app. But onky allow 5 transfers which is very bad for those who change mobiles often. Other app such as Freecaddie only restricts the user account names , not the mobiles.

I have bought the paid version twice. I give it one star only because it is, IMO the best golf GPS app out there when it works. Unfortunately, it hasn't connected for me since last year. Use the free Golf Logics app - it connects quickly and seems to be just as accurate.

Unable to open app.Glad I didn't upgrade it would have been a complete waste of money. Tried to contact supplier but all I get is how to upgrade on apple products. Having repeated myself 6 times telling them I have an android phone they do not seem to understand what an android phone is.

Yardages seem to be good based on yardage markers and others I've played with using different apps. Scorecard is handy. Have found every course I've been on from Cape Cod to Reno. I also like the large font used to display yardage; don't need my reading glasses to see them. All-in-all a pretty good app for the price

Worked Great for 2 years, now get a connection error.. De installed per web page reinstalled,, now get the connection error on launch!. Obviously they changed something on there end for our benefit.. U know the story one Oh Sh&T cancels out all the atta boys.

Does anyone know how to do this update. The service folks do not answer my queries.

Great color, real time aerial imagery and touch point positioning are outstanding.

I heaped a whole lot of ill will when my advanced membership was not honored when my phone recently crashed and i was forced to factory reset. Today sonocaddie recommissioned my membership. I cannot express how much i love this App - not even my Garmin approach G5 compares.

I've been using this app for most every outing & found for the cost it's hard to beat. The only complaint I had was an inaccurate display on one course. But I contacted them and they went to great lengths & communicated well to fix the problem.
