About Soterria Seizure Alert
Soterria Seizure Alert helps give you and your caregivers peace of mind by allowing you to easily alert friends and family if you are about to have a seizure.
With one click on your Android watch or phone, Soterria Seizure Alert records the movement pattern of your seizure and, every 30 seconds, texts your location and how long you've been having the seizure, to your list of up to 25 caregivers. The app also gives an audio alert to anyone nearby - with instructions on how to provide you assistance. You can even add 911 emergency services as one of your caregivers - so they can also receive a text and location. The app continues to send texts every 30 seconds until the app is turned off by drawing a pattern on the screen.
The alert begins in a non-intrusive way - by asking how you are doing - to give you a chance to interrupt the alerting process if you accidentally hit the seizure button - before the text alerts go out.
The motion of your seizure is recorded onto our server where, in our upcoming version, algorithms are tailored so that the app (using your Android watch - and to a more limited extent your Android phone) can automatically detect that you're having a seizure (versus walking, biking, dancing, etc.) and send the alerts without you having to push the seizure button.
Soterria Seizure Alert works with any Android smart phone and any Android watch. The watch is optional - but when the app is able to detect seizures, it will detect them much more accurately if you are also wearing an Android watch. By wearing an Android watch now, you will be helping us build an even more accurate seizure detection application.

Can you tell me how to download this to my Samsung smart watch Gear2. We picked this watch because it can make emergency calls and text without being connected to a phone.

When I clicked in the link to confirm I could be sent seizure alerts from my son's phone, it sent me to a link that has me download the app but my son never received a response. When I emailed the creator of the app to ask for help, he never emailed back. Have no idea if it works.

So far it's great just having a hard time getting my Samsung watch to connect to the app. I really need it to connect to my watch also because at work I won't have time to push the button on my phone to notify.

This app stopped working. I sent out a test alert to new caregivers and it didn't work. Very concerned.

Had this app.worked great now it won't load on my new phone and I can't use it. Got logged in via FB and it says error try later. Go to use email and error..... now I have no seizure allert app. :(

As of right now this is the only seizure detector for Android wear, and it actually works well for a beta. I have seizures from pain and this brings my family peace of mind. As a developer myself, I understand that it isn't easy to create such an app, but keep up with the good work. Me and my family finally have some peace of mind. Thank you for giving me my life back!

App installed quickly and worked well. I was able to send a test seizure alert notification to four people. They all received a text with a link to my location and message that I'd been having a seizure for 20 seconds. Will definitely be recommending Soterria.

I am so happy to have found this app for my phone! This app has put my fiends and family at ease and given them PEACE OF MIND so I can go for walks by myself to be more safe until I get my service dog;and even then Will have had to unfortunately deploy the button a couple times but the text with address or closest location and the estimated time of seizure is amazing! I went through and added EMS 911 TO my care team and when I checked my texts they responded snd quickly,! Great app!! I will continue to use!
