Permissions
We require several permissions on your Android device to operate properly. Here is the list and why we need them.

Network communication
full Internet access - your Spiceworks installation and the Spiceworks community are accessed through the internet.

Phone calls
read phone state and identity - from the people view, when making a call, we need to know if the phone is busy already.

System tools
retrieve running applications - lets us verify if a task has already been started so we have only one instance of activity at a time, and also lets us restart if we run into an unexpected issue.

Outstanding App! It's not laggy, and the interface is intuitive. I can completely manage tickets and relate items from the app.

Unable to log in (too many follow-up requests:21), on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

N70%
by N####:

Constantly have to close the app since it loses internet connectivity which forces you to update your ticket again. Otherwise it does what it's supposed to do.

N70%
by N####:

Unable to login on Android 7.1.

R70%
by R####:

Ticket list isn't as compressed as it used to be, wonder why (real estate on a small screen is a big deal)? I 'd at least like the option to put it back… Load times for each selection are a bit longer than before, but maybe this is my network… overall it's a lot more stable, and backspace doesn't exit the app like it used to. Wonder if they will offer an ad-free version?

M70%
by M####:

Just one thing. Can I change the color to a more calming color like green or blue? Orange stresses me out.

R70%
by R####:

It pops up with an untrusted certificate message. It does nothing when I click proceed. It won't even bring up details of the certificate.

B70%
by B####:

DO NOT INSTALL 3.2.8 ON AND 4.4 it will cause the app to continually crash and becomes unusable.

G70%
by G####:

Have reinstalled 5 times 4 lately. Runs a day or 3 then quits. Reinstall.

It sucks

S70%

Recently it just kicked me out of my account and when trying to log in it says "Error SSL handshake" then when you try again it just says incorrect username /password combo. This app locked my account which i had to then unlock via a ticket and when i reset my password it still wouldn't let me on...

Great App though.

The back button in the app takes me back to the home screen if I used Androids fast app switching to open it. That button needs to always return you to the ticket list. It makes it very annoying to get to the ticket list because I have to kill the app then find it in my app drawer or home screen just to go back to the ticket list. The Android back button does the same thing.

M70%
by M####:

Great tool. Especially on the go. A couple things that should've been included: 1- A ticket summary printing option 2 - First and Last name field for clients when creating a ticket Those are simple standard options that should've been included without thought. Other than those things, software works great for my clients submitting tickets directly through my website.

F70%
by F####:

This issue has been identified on Spiceworks and reported to developers - it sends a duplicate header line "Authorization: Basic...". Other than that the app works well.

It's a great app, but it crashes way to much right now. But the tablet app is so helpful. Can't wait for a fix.

D70%
by D####:

Says that my install certificate has changed and clicking on yes/OK it just loops. I cleared all my user certs and the same message appears.

F70%
by F####:

It's alright. Let's you open and close tickets along with set all the necessary options on tickets. There are no ticket stats on the app. You have to view those on the web interface. The notification only shows you the ticket number and if it was opened, closed, or commented on. I wish the notification could be expanded to see what the ticket or comment entailed.

by D####:

...except tiny xetail when using on-premises server, app does not let me pass self-signed ssl certificate. Even if I click continue, nothing happens. Was working OK in previous version. 29.6.2016 still not working even with commercial on-premises SSL certificate. Same behaviour as before.

D70%
by D####:

Works great. I only gave 4 stars because when running a local install, I still get notifications off site and can't check the ticket.

I've been using Spiceworks for about 5 years now and am a huge advocate for all of their products. I'm now implementing the help desk at the 2nd company I've worked for. It really amazes me how much data you can capture and analyze. Anyone who is a systems or network administrator should be using this product!

T70%

The android app updated and I updated the desktop to the latest version. No longer able to sign in. I even created another admin user account and that account cannot sign in on the app either

Last week I stopped receiving push notifications about tickets being opened (kinda need this working). Tried uninstalling and reinstalling (did this about 3 times within the past week) checked server settings and yet still nothing comes in. Just opening the app today causes instant crashes every time. Using a Moto X Pure, Android 6.0

Edit: All's good with version 3.2.5. Thank you, Ryan and team!

Release published last night corrected the crashing issue. The app is a very useful extension of the Helpdesk product. Good response from the team to address the issue that happened with 1/28's relase.
