Ok I have been using Square Trade for years. Long before this Ap. The company is awesome. All of these "horror stories" are ridiculous. If you want the best deals from them call them. This ap works just fine. It's a great compliment to their web site and their call in sales service. Coupons come weekly for me. They have a five day policy. Which means you have a replacement or money back within five days. Don't listen to the nay sayers. This company is solid as is the ap.

I bought a new phone and a one year protection plan from square trade. I had a cracked screen and sent it in to be repaired. My phone was shipped, repaired, and shipped back to me all within five days. Definitely five stars.

I don't understand all the bad reviews. It's obvious that most of these people have no idea how to use a phone. It took me 3 minutes to sign up and connect to my phone there is nothing wrong with this app. If you're going to put a bad review make sure it's actually the app that's the problem.

A year ago I bought a warranty for my phone for accidental drops spills etc, now these thieves snuck a $100.00 deductable in when I wasn't looking. That's almost more than the phone is worth. Thanks thieves I'd like my $89 back. Never using this again.

I had a nightmare trying to open an account for 2 phones. They still have an extra charge on my credit card that they are arguing that they did not make. The App has pretty much been useless as well as poor customer service. who had been difficult to understand and have transferred me back and forth several times to different departments. One flat told me they could not do anything about the extra change and that they were going to transfer me a 4th time. After a while on hold he finally started looking things up and trying to help. So far this has been a bad experience.

Its weird how there is no attempt by the company to answer all these concerns. I was literally about to buy a new phone protection plan. What I read is horrific. The company doesnt even care. They cant have 3.1 out of 5 if they are building trust

If you're going to make this app mandatory then at least make it good. You can't even upload a PDF for receipt, wtf? Who saves documents as JPGs? Now I'm forced to find a document converter because this app doesn't support the standard format.

I have not used the warranty, but I can comment on customer service. I had questions which the FAQ did not cover. I called and talked with Luke. He was extremely helpful. He was patient, informative, and answered my questions satisfactory. What more can one ask?

digusting customer service. delayed communication until the expiry date to buy a warranty was past theyre criminal. customer service is disgusting. purch washer on feb 13, spent two weeks trying to get a warranty, they kept emailing back excuses or that they needed something else, delayed delayed until it was too late, and the time to purch the warranty ran out. i hate these people for being so criminal . most disgusting display of bring ripped off, i've ever seen.

You can't upload a receipt through Squaretrade's phone app or website. Their customer support is useless. Their response to my very detailed and technical explanation of the issue was to send me a link showing me how to create an account. I had clearly already done this since it is a required step in purchasing the protection plan from their site & obviously I had to have the account in order to experience the very issue I was emailing customer service about in the first place. If this is any indicator of how they deal with customers after the purchase (prior to my purchase they were very helpful which is in part why I went this route) then heaven forbid I actually attempt to process a claim. If you are still under 30 days you should consider getting a refund.

Crashes when you try to submit the screen photo on my Xiaomi device. Had to spend forever talking to support to circumvent the stupid photo requirement.

I've purchased 5 squaretrade warranties. this will be my last thanks to this app process. When you purchase a plan, you are now required to download this glitchy flaky app. You must step through ridiculous requirements to prove your brand new phone is not broken. Even if you sign up on their out of date website. This is an inefficient process that penalizes the great majority of users to try to catch a few. You are not told any of this before purchase. This will be my last warranty with them. Buyer beware.

I tried many times to get my phone replaced, they never did, always told me to call the manufacturer. When my screen broke, they wanted me to send the phone to them, which meant that I'd be out of a phone for weeks. They don't help. It's a waste of money peiple. DON'T BUY SQUARE TRADE!!

It took nearly half an hour on the phone to India to simply switch mobile phones covered on my plan. Why isn't this automated so I can simply enter a new IMEI and receipt?

They will not replace your device. I'm not sure exactly what they cover. Filed a claim and was told to take it up with the manufacturer. WTF is the point of buying this service if they count on the manufacturer fixing it. I should of just set a hundred dollars on fire and threw my phone in a lake. I'd be right were I am today.

The fact that you have to install this to input the IMEI is really stupid when I signed up on a desktop. If it magically read the info straight from the phone, I'd be more inclined to say ok, maybe it's a fraud prevention step, but I installed on my phone to activate the insurance on a different phone, so it's really just a B.S. step, maybe they want a high download count in the play Store. I dunno. Uninstall.

At first I was confused about taking a picture of the receipt because it was blurry. I then took a picture of the bar code at the bottom of the receipt and it worked, it took just a couple of minutes to upload to my account. I also used Square Trade for another lap top and I was very happy with my service.

SquareTrade keeps sending me emails telling me I have to download this app to activate my plan. So I download it now 6 times and always get a network error. Both on wifi and data. They didn't have any problems taking my money before I downloaded and activated!

I want to do everything on a desktop. Why do I have to download this app to activate my plan? All I do is uninstall it after. If my phone breaks I couldn't use it to make a claim anyway... Stop forcing this on me.

Everything has to be done on desktop, the app is useless. When I signed up for the service, I submitted my proof of purchase for my device, which was a couple months old. They took my money and said the plan was in place. But then, when my phone broke and I tried to get it fixed, there was no reply to the emails, and I had to call to check on the claim. They then said that I have no valid coverage because my phone was more than 30 days old when I purchased coverage, so then my money was refunded. Awful

Dumb as hell you need an app to submit the IMEI number, especially when it has to be manually keyed in anyway. Squaretrade are you listening? I could have done this from the website. I almost canceled it when I found this out. Definitely consider more options next time.

This app wants access to your photos, camera, wifi info, location, contacts, device id which includes passwords, basically ST wants access to your entire life cover your phone. No Thanks.
