I think this app is wonderful!! It has helped me with getting jobs. It seems that it alerts me sooner than other apps. I had a subscription with 2 apps during the school year & I like this one the best!! I had trial periods with other apps so I can tell a difference in the speed of the alerts. My phone always alerted me before my co-worker' s phone was alerted as they used different apps. Great job Substitute Alert!! U r my favroute app!

Awesome app. I have used this app for the last school and was very pleased with how well it worked. It worked out so well for scheduling days to work around any appointments I made. I look forward to using this app for the next school year too. So great to be able to customize my schedule and when I received alerts for upcoming jobs. The text alerts seem to work out best for me rather than the phone calls. Thanks for making subbing so easy.

I loved using this ap. It is simple to use and set up your preferences. It is visually appealing as well. What I am most impressed with is that when I've had "Contact Us", I got a response from what sounded like a real human, prompty, that actually, if not fixed my issue, explained it to me better so I knew what to do from there. Also, when my schools were a little confused about my status, I would get an e-mail from the real people at Sub Alert letting me know I wasn't receiving alerts with the details.

Well there is garbage and then there is worse. This app is worse than garbage could ever be. Jobulator may only have a 2.9 rating in the Google play store, but it is a 100 percent better than this. I had jobulator for over a year but wanted to try something new, so I tried this, it was a dollar cheaper, after all. BIG MISTAKE! I hate to be teased, and this thing constantly teased me, saying a job was still available, when it was long gone. So stick with Jobulator, forget this.

If you don't have the latest phone with the latest updates you will rarely get a job. I can be looking at my phone, hear the ring and never be fast enough to book the job. NEVER. So, pay the five bucks a month, and remember you have no other choice. You are forced to play the game of who is fastest. Old folks might as well forget it, you ain't fast enough. Never take a shower or put your phone in your pocket, you ain't fast enough to get to it. Don't shut your eyes at night, you ain't fast enough at waking up. Forget joy, pleasure and meditative moments, you ain't fast enough. As noted, you will HAVE TO purchase the monthly access, you have no other choice. Aesop is useless without this app, and useless with it. P.S. when you finally do get a job, check the sub sign in at school and note all the subs who have the newest fastest phone, because they will be the only people on that sign in sheet. Have fun chasing the rabbit.

One county i subbed in blocked such apps because they deemed it "unfair" and now wonder why they can't find subs. I don't even bother with that county anymore. I wish teachers did a better job of describing what class/subject they taught, thought. Not sure if that falls into the domain of something the devs can do anything about.

This app started out perfect. Now it no longer alerts you for jobs and is full of problems. It says connection error. Try to visit the sub alert site, it says it can't be reached. Text messaging alerts worked for a whole week and suddenly no longer works. They will keep billing you although you can't use the app or reach tech support. Really pathetic!

Loved the free trial! I would like to buy the subscription, but unfortunately, the money I make from subbing pays my main bills with very little leftover for anything else. I will purchase the app eventually, but until then, I am looking for more free apps. P.S. I was super quick at accepting jobs and never had an issue with accepting an assignment that had already been assigned.

Amazing app... For the very few negative reviews... if you're having a problem getting jobs just set a different ringtone or vibrate rhythm.. it has made my experience and extra income very pleasant

X70%
by X####:

This app is amazing and very helpful. It takes all the stress out of finding a job! The cost is minimal compared to the results. I have found a job every day that I have had this app for the last month except on non-work days I needed. Love it!!

Couldn't be any easier! I have a special notification bell, see text, click book or reject, syncs right to my Google calendar. Boom, done! I wish my LIFE had an app like this!!!

B70%
by B####:

This app helps me to find the jobs I want. Since i am very particular this means that instead of just taking whatever jobs i can get i can choose from the multitude of jobs fed to me by the app and select the primo ones for me and still have lots of jobs. It hasn't let me down yet!

This App is truly amazing! It links my accounts from 2 different districts and eliminates the need for annoying automated phone calls to accept jobs. You can accept jobs instantly from your phone. THANK YOU!

X70%

SubAlert is by far the BEST for job alerts. It is easy to use, reliable, and FAST. Job alert notification was faster than Aesop's on my phone. Everything is just a click away! The cost is minimal for such an excellent service. Thank you SubAlert! The staff are very helpful and if ever there was a problem, it was quickly resolved via email.

I really like this app. It's very easy to use and it gives me plenty of opportunities to find an assignment. It is true, you have to be really quick in order to secure a job. But that is the nature of this job. One of the benefits of picking and choosing when and where you work comes with stiff competition. It's up to the user to not hesitate when a job notice pops up. There is one thing I would change: I wouldn't bring users back to the app when a job is rejected from the pop-up notification. If I want to see all available jobs, I would just open the app or look on AESOP itself. It is a small hassle to be brought back to the app screen every single time. Otherwise, I am more than happy paying the $4.99/month. It is a small fee for convenience and it is very worth it!

I've tried Jobulator and Sub Assistant. This is light years ahead of both! It kind of boggles my mind that given that Jobulator is actually made by Frontline that this service is so much better. All I can say is thank you.

Th notifications are great. If you don't have a data plan then you are unable to accept jobs. I've missed out on 3 job offers in one day because I have to follow a link to accept them.

X70%

Loved the free trial so I signed up for a subscription today and it will not let me access my account. There is no phone number to help and I have sent two emails to customer service. Frustrated and missing jobs!!

X70%

This is the service to have if you want a fast and accurate way to handle your sub assignments. If you use Frontline to set your sub jobs you will be too late most of the time.but SubAlert makes it happen for you on time so you can get the desirable assignments.

This app is slower than other app subassitant. I had this app for last 4 months. Initially it worked fine, but lately it was notifying me of jobs quite late and most of the times jobs are no longer available. I have best phone, best network connection, fast fingers. So that was irritating. I even have to take loss of a day as I could not pick that day even though I got 3,4 offers..I click it, I was gone. I installed Subassitant app along with this, all 3 times subassitant rang first and this app a minute later. Subassitant is little unorganized but who cares, we need a hit on a job, rest is available on aesop. Disappointed.

Had great success with this app and when had to get new phone unable to use this app and contacted Matt. Matt was patient and persistent for several weeks as we worked together to finally resolve issue. Excellent customer support as needed.

It's great. The only thing is it seems to not go off for certain schools. Idk why. Unless the school takes care of things. Also, when you need to contact someone from the app. You get a very prompt response.

**Update: the app works just fine, as long as I use my 4G connection, rather than wi-fi. ::shrug:: It's worth the tiny amount of data I'll use to be able to access jobs as they come up. 2/13/17 The app won't load, and now I can't even reach the website.

Way better than Jobulator all around. Works as advertised and is generally fast and easy to use. One feature I would like to see is custom search times. Rather than checking every minute, I'd like to be able to set it for every 5 or 10 minutes for example, just to save battery life in a pinch. That's the only feature I think is missing, but that's not even a big problem. I've already recommended this app to several other subs I know. Edit: After the response about server side refreshing not affecting my battery life, I bumped my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Please don't waste your money on this app as there is no recourse if dissatisfied. I have been a sub for several years and have never had a sub app this bad before now. Just moved to a new school district, so I downloaded this app, to get me started. My phone is current and has all of the latest updates.  There is a disconnect between notification and acceptance of a job. For about 3 weeks, I could be on my phone, the notice appear. I would  hit accept with in seconds of it appearing and it's already been taken. This can happen in a competitive sub area, but not consistently over several weeks. The designer says it works perfectly. I just downloaded the Jobulator, they give you a 14 day free trial, plus you have the option of paying monthly or yearly. I was able to snag several jobs on my first day of using my new app verse one job in 3 weeks with this one.

This app did work great. Now, since my last phone update the app keeps logging me out. Of course, I don't know when I'm not logged in and so have missed many jobs.

Fantastic App! --BEEN A SUB FOR DECADES AND THIS IS WAY MORE EFFICIENT THAN JOBULATOR & SUB ASSISTANT-GET IT!) Your get immediate notifications of new assignments (not delayed at all!) The customer service is fantastic and always available. I have received so much more money due to the ability to book assignments before those who don't have this App. Not expensive at all. While writing this review, I was able to book two assignments as the alerts just hit my phone and emailed to me instantly. Also, easy to set up and update online or through their app. I don't give 5 start reviews lightly-they deserve it!

Getting notified when a job is available rather than having to check is a great benefit. I've never had any problems with the app. I am currently not able to substitute teach but this fall when I return I will absolutely get the app again.

I absolutely love this app, I've gotten so many jobs with it. I've used this and jobulator at the same time and I will be sticking with SubAlert. I highly recommend getting this app.

I like the fact that you can see your schedule, but the sub assistant app comes up first. I tried them both at the same time. They say it's on a 60 second cycle, yet out of two weeks of having both- this app has yet to come up first.

X70%
by X####:

This app gave me the ability to maximize the amount of jobs I could secure. The price for the text alerts was well worth the amount of extra jobs I worked.

X70%
by X####:

I have a specific sound for my alerts and this app helps alot it keeps me on my feet, I'm always ready to book them jobs ! You gotta be fast !

X70%
by X####:

You do need to have fast fingers. Subbing is a competitive field. It depends on how good you Internet service provider is. The app works well but I still had to do some checking thru jobulator. I could see my past and present jobs better there

U70%
by U####:

Most of the time it works great. Occasionally, it doesn't chime when new jobs are posted and I have to turn my phone off/on or reload app, but have not had that recently.

X70%
by X####:

This is a wonderful app. I get more work and it is much easier for me to digest information about a job this way than over the phone. Calendar sync is a fantastic feature. And it works with both EMS and AESOP! This app has made finding sub jobs simple and stress free.

I don't know if it get slower each time or what, because I press to accept the job when the cellphone is still vibrating (because I have the sound and the vibration at the same time) and the job it's already token

A70%

almost a five, but having access to scholl phone.numbers while driving (for unexpected traffic delays) is a problem because it can't be done hands free (as required by law in this state)
