This application enables you to view actual rainfall radar and forecast rainfall imagery for the UK. The imagery can be animated or stepped through. The available times for the rain radar is typically the last two hours and the forecast rainfall goes out to about 36 hours.
Synoptic charts can now also be viewed in a similar fashion, these are charts showing the forecast weather situation - primarily pressure and other weather features such as warm and cold fronts.
Now also shows the chance of rain which is an indication of rain probability for various places in the UK for day and night over the next 5 days.

Rainfall radar - presumably the core - is fine. Once you work out how to stop the animation (tap once and wait), the app works OK, but the map coverage is too small for the synoptic chart to be much use - it needs the E Atlantic as well.

Does what it says... Really well! Synoptic chart and rainfall radar... What more do you really need?! A pause or one step at a time through button would be great.

Living near one of the wetter parts of the UK (Dartmoor) this is great for seeing when the next band of rain is due

BBC weather pretends to accurately pinpoint your location but often raining when app says it's cloudy! Other satellite maps only show current not forcast. With this app you can plan ahead by seeing if you are on the "edge" of weather front, helps you make good decisions in walking, cycling or a BBQ between showers... Suggestion...Could do with more city names on map.
