Toyota, if you are reading all the reviews posted... do something quickly before BBB knock at the door. This is clearly a misrepresentation in the specs. This app is the worse app I have ever attempted to use! It should be removed from the Playstore. I am a repeat Toyota owner and this is bad... REALLY BAD!

Y70%
by Y####:

I've had this app on my phone for a while now because I work for Lexus and sometimes demo it to others. Recently it's started eating up my battery and I don't even own a car that can use it. There is absolutely no reason this app should be using battery when it isn't running. For now I'll be uninstalling it and only installing it on an as needed basis. That's a pain.

M70%
by M####:

The navigation on this is terrible. The turn by turn directions were always behind. I would have already turned onto the next road before it told me to. I actually got lost using this app! Toyota needs to link up with something better.

Y70%
by Y####:

The app is not user friendly and is more of a wasted time effort and money. Poor decision for Toyota to let this app be part of their vehicle. The scout full version is not bad at all but does work with Toyota. I would suggest Toyota invest a little money in what other apps can do with after market head units. Such as phone display on the screen. Anyway good luck Toyota I will most likely changing the head unit out in my tundra to be more smartphone capable.

Y70%
by Y####:

This is the absolute worst navigation app I have ever used. I'm so disappointed that my brand new 2017 Toyota Tundra uses this crappy app. I feel like I might as well just print off MapQuest directions as they would be more helpful! I guess I'll just continue to use my phone with Google maps, this seems like such a wasted opportunity!

X70%
by X####:

Needs to be updated to allow a full size (or even half screen) map that can be zoomed in on in order to see where you are . That would make a world of difference with this app. People would be less likely to call it a piece of junk.

Y70%
by Y####:

In the two days I've had it, it's given me two wrong turns...luckily I was familiar with the area and corrected it. Also, I keep getting a message telling me it can't connect to the sever. Also, the map needs to be zoomed in twice what it is. NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL! Such a wasted, poorly thought out app! In theory, it's fine...the execution is terrible! I will be buying a stand alone Garmin...what a shame...brand new car and I can't wait to get rid of it! Also, WHAT WAS TOYOTA THINKING?!

Y70%
by Y####:

I tried it when I first got my new Camry home. I hated it and went back to Google Maps, which I would otherwise describe as perfect. But, as I keep Bluetooth on on my phone, I can't talk to or hear my phone when in my car. So I went back to using this app. And I'll say it's not that bad. If you get used to it, it's decent. There are some issues with rerouting, but it'll get you where you're going. I'm fine with it now.

Y70%
by Y####:

I'm kind of regretting I purchased a Lexus altogether. Next time I'll take my time to chose a car with decent connectivity to better apps like android auto (which provides on screen Google maps) or Apple car...

Y70%
by Y####:

I haven't even used it yet and am ready to uninstall it. I don't see a sign out option but the share app icon is readily obvious. That's bs. We will rarely use the gps and I won't have the app running in the back ground, tracking me, or burning up data. FIX IT OR STOP HAVING YOUR SALES PEOPLE PUSH IT AS SOMETHING USEFUL/GOOD.

Y70%
by Y####:

So I was already disappointed with the turn by turn display and fixed overhead map view. Sure its free but there are better free options. Anyways, I see an update for an interactive moving map for "select" 2018 models... I just purchased a 2017 vehicle which was the newest on the lot. If they would have had a 2018 then I would have gotten that instead but they didn't. Honestly to be fair you should include an update that allows ALL compatible 2017 models to utilize the interactive maps. A lot of people feel cheated and that could affect future toyota business with them.

Toyota should be careful with this app. If some one follows the directions and end up in a dangerous part of town..... just think of the possibilities. This app is actually useless.

Y70%
by Y####:

The most useless app I've used. The day my wife bought the car 2017 Camry she wanted to try out the app to navigate from East Providence to Newport in Rhode island about 40 miles away. We entered it home address and the so correctly found our address, but when we picked out the app wanted to send us to Newport Beach in California 3000 miles away.. I don't understand how Toyota can August themselves with whatever company made this software..

Bought a 2016 Camry. App works excellent. I can use my phone at home or wherever and enter my address. When I get in the car its on my screen ready to go. Awesome Revised after 1 year. Was awesome, now after starting it freezes and doesn't work terrible

Y70%
by Y####:

I drove to the dealership and back. I only used the app jyst to see how it works. It stopped working on my way to the dealership and going back home. I was driving on I985 so it couldn't be because of my phone. I do not feel safe using it when I go to an unknown location.

Y70%
by Y####:

I don't like the view the map gives and it would be nice to just have a street view without having the destination in. Toyota please find a fix because this is the worst navigation app ever.

Y70%
by Y####:

I don't have the add anything to all the previous negative comments. The app is a joke.

Y70%
by Y####:

TERRIBLE navigation system and interface. I can't even type in an address on my 2017 Toyota, this thing only lets me click buttons that displays near by destinations, places I've previously been, or the home/work button. Also the actual maps are terrible, and it is so far zoomed out with no way to zoom in you can't even look at the map to see an upcoming turn. With that said, when you do approach a turn the map goes completely away and it just displays an arrow and name of the road. If you're in an area with many major interchanges at one place it's extremely easy to end up on the wrong roadway because of this. I would give this zero stars if I could. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in this. Toyota PLEASE consider a Google map interface app, because this thing is terrible. I wont use it again, will stick to Google maps on my phone.

Y70%
by Y####:

Terrible, map needs to be updated to current roads. Need full map on vehicle display. Thank God I know my way home, map threw me 2 hrs away from home when I only was 30 minutes away on a straight US Highway. Just get rid of thus app and give us Google maps Mirror Link. I've been a proud Toyota owner all my life and have bought 7 brand new Toyota vehicles, with my recent one a 2017 Toyota Tundra. With all the money spent I should've gotten something better than this or nothing at all. App has been Uninstalled.

I have 2 new Toyota's one has the Entune premium which i consider a poor attempt to be something good like Garmin or Google. But seems to me Toyota saw how out dated their premium was ( yet they charge you more for an updated map than a new Garmin unit with FREE updates) but Toyota really lowered the bar when they put GPS scout as an option on the lower level units. We tried it today on my wife's new Toyota she got last night. After less than an hour we had the cannot connect to server and found there no way to turn it off (so it kills your battery) had to go into apps on the phone to force stop the app. Going back in to uninstall this and back to Google maps using blue tooth which has good turn by turn navigation

Y70%
by Y####:

I'd be ok with it not displaying an actual map on my cars display if it would show it on my phone. But it doesn't show anything on my phone once the cars Bluetooth connects. Why Toyota went with this instead of Android Auto and Apple Carplay is stupid.

I70%
by I####:

I am disappointed how incredibly poorly designed our new Lexus NX200t is.....really, really cheap quality seats, poor storage, only one A/C plug among other poor details. Lexus hardly includes any standard options....everything ah la carte.....of course for a cost. Windshield cracks easily!!! Despite this nav. app lacking many bell's and whistles, it works fine for very basic navigation. This nav. app should be on a Nissan Sentra, not a Lexus. Would have thought Lexus would have offered something better. Doubt I will ever buy a Lexus again!!!!!

Y70%
by Y####:

Not bad.. at the same time not good either.. navigation app needs lot more updates with user-friendly features.. it looks like stone age navigation app

Y70%

I thought having to update my map card in my rav4 was bad. Just traded it for a new Camry and they sold me on this scout GPS vs one with a map card. Honestly think I would rather pay for updates. It won't let me edit my starting point. On Google maps it allows this and allows you to save route. I'm trying to get ahead and route my road trip out before I actually get on the road in Sept. But...wont allow it. Looks like I'll be using Google maps again. Also, doesn't view in satellite view.

Very disappointed with this gps app-first toyota but would think they could come up with something better. Eats up data at an alarming rate. Need to fix this.

Y70%

Google maps is ten times better. This app is the worst part of my Tundra...

Y70%
by Y####:

Terrible interface with my new Toyota Avalon. Does not show map while stunning driving unless you have a destination. No zoom. Cannot detail, only basic looks detail map.

Y70%
by Y####:

Worst nav app, constantly loses contact with phone for no apparent reason, does not reconnect and has to start all over.

Y70%
by Y####:

Poor use of map cannot be zoomed in or out. Slow to respond to keystrokes especially address input. But the map is the worst I have ever seen.

Y70%
by Y####:

This app, is mostly for owners of a Toyota, it's free, but is not worth it, the navigation is slow, it works with the GPS of your phone, if you loose signal you are of the road soon, there is other Scout app, but there is no way to combine your account, for a chance of better response, y pay to upgrade but it just don't work, I ask for my reimbursement, but they didn't reply to me. I guess it was just money throw out of the window, I really don't recommend this app!!

Y70%
by Y####:

App is not friendly to use and poorest in performance. Toyota should come up with better app if they care customers.,

Feel like toyota lied when they said this would work. So basic it isn't helpful.

Y70%
by Y####:

Worst app. I have 2017 Toyota Corolla and forces me to use this app and can't even see the actual map on it. It only shows turn by turn direction. Toyota pay some money to get Android auto or apple car instead of this crappy app.

Y70%
by Y####:

Not a good navigation app, or navi in the vehicle. I have a Lexus ES300 2017 and this is the worst navigation I have ever had experience with. Please scrap it and at least reprogram our vehicles with Android Auto. Thumbs down!

Y70%
by Y####:

Will not connect to 2017 Lexus IS. My Android phone (Nexus 5x running N) is paired with the car. I can make and receive calls. I can listen to audio and Pandora via my phone. In starting the app it just sits waiting for a Bluetooth connection. It never connects.

Q70%
by Q####:

It doesn't tell you how the traffic is for the your route. When I want to call someone,it doesn't connect ,it goes back to the GPS screen. When texts are sent I push to hear the text ,the system goes to retrieve it and it goes back to the GPS screen
