Very bad interface

This application works great on my new Samsung phone! The only thing I can think of to add is the ability to listen to the audio only. Then, the app would be perfect! Also, the Chromecast function is not working properly anymore on my S8+ now - After the screen turns off the playback always ends up stopping and when I restart the video it always starts from the beginning

Can't manage account from app. UI has a pretty terrible design. No option to play audio only on video. I mean if they want 20 bucks a month, I want bells and whistles man. Also I didn't really find lectures "for me" but that's more of a me thing. It looks and feels like an app right from a university still stuck 15 years in the past.

Amazing content, terrible app - I'm echoing many other reviews. The content is top notch, from The Teaching Company's deep library of courses built over decades of work, covering many fields. However, one of their main markets has always been THE COMMUTER. 1) Let me play this app in the background while I drive, so I can keep my road maps on top! 2) Where's the printed material, so I can read this stuff in the mornings? I'm paying for these! 3) Give me a list of courses in-progress so I can quickly resume classes without clicking around. Until I see some of these improvements, I'm letting my subscription run out, and keeping this review at three stars.

Content is great, but the UI leaves something to be desired. Can't you let me continue watching a course from a recently watched list or something? As it is, it takes numerous clicks to resume watching a course. Chromecast flat out doesn't work!

Freaking amazing, I'm like a kid in a toy store so many courses from great professors about so many things I want to learn it all. Every man, woman and child should try this. The courses go into more depth than you will find on a typical youtube channel and will open you up to many subjects you may not have known that you were even interested in.

The app has several shortcomings and missing features. Firstly would be the ability to set the video quality. The course I'm watching now is in HD, and the video plays in HD even when I'm using my data connection. Since I'm not unlimited, this really eats up my data fast. Second, is the ability to play audio only. As other reviewers have mentioned, this feature is missing. I've experienced a few other bugs and crashes, but if these two things were added I'd be able to put up with the bugginess.

I LOVE the content, however I can not stream to a Chromecast for more than a few seconds before the video crashes. This is one of the most expensive streaming services I can think of and it needs to perform as such. Please fix this, I really miss being able to watch h these.

Great content, terrible app. Only downloaded this because TGC refuses to make the Plus app for Roku available in Canada. Figured at least with this, I'd get to use the service on my Chromecast, but guess what? Casting won't work. Since I don't want to watch lectures on a tiny screen, I will be uninstalling.

The courses are great. Only problem I have is that it doesn't seem to stay connected to my chromecast. Streaming over my S8 is never a proble.. fix the Chromecast issues please

Just dined up for the free trial yesterday and have been binge watching videos. I have not had any issued with streaming via the Google app. Loving it so far.

Never gave me a chance to see any videos after I gave my credit info, tells me to subscribe (wich by entering your credit info your subscribing) which I try to do and then it says "google playstore already has a google id for this app. Sign out and sign in again" which I do and still nothing

I love this service. The only thing that falls short of 5 stars is that the app doesn't include the guidebook PDFs. Even a link would be better than nothing at all.

Good selection of courses. Interesing ones, as well. Would like additional courses for further study but then I would want more time in the day. As for now, plenty to keep me busy learning.

Great content but the app is a bit glitchy. Crashes occasionally and the UI could be a bit more intuitive. Hope they continue to add more lectures.

I love the content of the app, however I would love to be able to listen to the content and turn the screen off when I wish without the video stopping. Please provide an update for this. Thanks.

This is a dream come true. My nerdy heart is satisfied with learning everything but we need some NLP courses

The videos I've watched so far are great and I love the speakers. They make complex topics sound simple.

I love the ability to go at my own pace, but like so many others, the UI leaves a lot to be desired. I bought the DVDs and can't access the classes on them. Keep the courses coming, I am a lifetime learner thank to you guys!!!!

Excellent! App could increase in resolution. It feels like everything is pixelated.

I gladly pay the $20 per month to be able to watch this via my Roku and at home on my computer. It works excellent on my Galaxy on5 and I am able to manage my account I give the app five stars!

I would give it five stars if you could download the course guides from the app.

I will give it 5 stars when I figure out how to get the "printable material" that the instructor claimed accompanies the course. Other than that, I like this app.

Good courses, but chromecast only works on a handful of videos.

If this app could play background audio like YouTube I'd be a permanent subscriber.

Really? learn by paying and no certificate or accreditation for the course to compensate for the fees? Instead Enroll in a online college in the area your interested or go to YouTube. Nice try
