Proximity Sensor Finder

To weak at 1cm distance no point. Also frozen as soon as used twice. :uninstall but hopeful of improvements

For all of you who didn't know where is the proximity sensor in your mobile....its always located on the top of the front face usually next to your front camera. It usually looks like your front camera...but in some phones it may be hidden beneath the device cover!

Or I could have googled where the proximity sensor was. Either way, app works as it should.

Simple but very helpful reporting app with just the right readouts to see if and WHEN the proximity sensor is functioning. 4 stars because is does what it claims and was very helpful but I reserve 5 stars for more complex functionality.

Read USB storage? Phone Status and Identity? etc. etc. Uninstalling it! Guys please check its permissions and then opt whether to install it or not! Its just a proximity sensor tester, then why so many such permissions?

No problem in app but why does it need access to my photos and videos, location and device ID ?

Pretty good for free! It's no LoJack but it's nice! I rate 3*'s because it does find your phone w the GPS sustem. My only con is the inevitable battery! There must be one of you good brainiac tec's that can make an app that will still work after the battery has died. My daughter rated this so listen shes extremly intelligent!

This app just tells me there is a Proximity sensor but never helps me locate it. It is stuck on waiting for data, I have tried to cover the whole device as instructed but no luck, maybe it is not active. I have an RCT-1000p 10.1 inch tablet running android kit-kat 4.4.

I was trying to find out whether or not my Samsung Galaxy S5 Active had a proximity sensor in order to be able to use another app called the Black Screen of Life, which enables you to listen to YouTube music without your battery being drained by the videos. With Proximity Sensor Finder, I was able to locate the sensor in less time than it took to download it. It's very handy, simple and convenient. Was very happy to have found it.

It's a good app. If you need to find your proximity sensor, use this.

Works as advertised, but when trying to uninstall it blocks me with a pop up!

Works good enough but when I went to unistall it pops up the logo and don't allow me to uninstall

I couldn't readily tell where the proximity sensor was and this simple tool helped. Mainly for the other app that wakes my screen up when proximity sensor is covered (without having to use my power button hard to reach under the shell case each time)

If you need this sort of thing, it's perfect.

The proximity sensor on my new phone was in an unintuitive place on the left, I had always assumed it was on the right like my previous phone, so this neat app helped me understand why my screen stayed on during calls (large phone, hard for such a sensor to be covered by a right ear!) But why the permissions? Hope you aren't snooping too much/leaving me spam, you'll spoil an otherwise great app

Wanted to test my sensor after replacing the screen on my phone. The sensor is working great even though I covered it with tape. No idea how it functions but happy I don't have to take it apart again :)

Worked well enough to tell me that the proximity sensor on my phone was operational.

I use Gravity Screen and one day waving my hand over the phone wouldn't wake it up anymore. This app, and the comments here, led me to the cause: just cleaned the dusty case protector and problem solved! This app should come with smartphones by default. Very well done.

I just relived the sensor for calls which was factory set for not to work on calls on Micromax canvas phone????? No more touch problem while on call. Super app.
