श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता संसार का प्रथम और समग्र मनस शास्त्र है। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण द्वारा कुरुक्षेत्र की समरभूमि में उपदेशित इस शास्त्र में कुल अध्यायों की संख्या अट्ठारह है तथा कुल श्लोकों की संख्या लगभग सात सौ है। गीता का उल्लेख महाभारत के शांति पर्व में मिलता है। इसके संकलनकर्ता महर्षि वेदव्यास हैं।
क्यों कही गयी गीता?
जब रणक्षेत्र में अपने बंधु-बांधवों को अपने सामने देख गांडीवधारी अर्जुन शोकग्रस्त होकर नैराश्य की चरम सीमा पर पहुंच जाते हैं तब सर्वेश्वर भगवान श्रीकृष्ण उन्हें पुनः कर्तव्ययुत करने हेतु गीता दर्शन का साक्षात्कार करवाते हैं। गीता में मनुष्य़ की सभी समस्याओं का समाधान मिल जाता है क्योंकि इसका सारभूत तत्व ही कर्ता विहीन कर्म है। गीता का आरंभ धर्म से तथा अंत कर्म से होता है। गीता मनुष्य को प्रेरणा देती है। मनुष्य का कर्तव्य क्या है? इसी का बोध करवाना गीता का लक्ष्य है।

One addition you can make is you can add proper pronunciation (by some expert) of each slokas in sanskrit. It will help in remembering The Gitaji slokas. Currently you have implemented hindi audio. Actully everyone will be able to ready hindi meaning but many of them will not able to properly pronounciate in sanskrit.

1.The translation of most of the shlokas in hindi is not grammatically correct , sometimes it appears like some jumbled words put together and most of the times it appears as if it is incomplete. 2.you can add a feature of dictionary for difficult words of hindi and sanskrit both like on Google play books or kindle ebook readers. 3. thirdly it should not be compulsory for reader to finish an aadhyaay to read next one .This is so irritating.
